The CFP rankings had every opportunity to put a 3 loss Alabama team in the playoff over 2 loss teams from other conferences last year and didn't. If you lose 3 games you're not making it over 1 and 2 loss teams from other major conferences. The rankings do work themselves out.

That's just an excuse. A good coach can still have a great team culture regardless of how much support they get from above. This team was undisciplined and did not look like they cared half of the time over the last two years.
