    Tanner and Athan Article

In an offense with so few weapons outside of Mo, we need Athan’s athleticism. His ability to keep the ball and run helps our zone read game, and the ability to move the pocket with him helps diversify an incredibly vanilla offense and play calling. He also has a stronger arm and I’ve been...

Post Game Thread: Gophers lose to Illinois

    - WR talent is horrendous. Biggest disappointment considering Fleck’s history - Quinn Carroll is really bad - Oliver is over aggressive - Offensive scheme doesn’t allow for easy completions - Defense is pretty good, but zero pass rush - Walley hasn’t been very good this year - Nubin and Mo...

Post Game Thread - Gophers Crush Aggies

NMSU had two deep safeties the whole game. I think ol’ Jer was content to have us run for 8 YPC to keep the score down. Dylan looked disinterested at times which is my only concern beyond Axel’s injury. Easiest win we’ve had in a decade or more.

    PJ

It can definitely be annoying, especially when the offense is struggling, but the only time I truly have a problem with it is that we tend to stay in it way too long. Watching us snap the ball on our own 15 with one second on the play clock to run inside zone with less than six minutes to play...

Houston Baptist DT transfer Kyler Baugh receives Gophers offer

Meh. He just put his name in the portal Monday, so it’s not like he’s been sitting there for ages before we decided to offer. Plus Gibbens showed us that Big-Ten ready players can come from awful FCS teams. Worst case is he provides depth at a position of need for a scholarship that otherwise...

    Who replaces Wilt

D-line recruiting has been excellent these past two years, and our D-line on the field this year was probably the best it’s been this millennia. No clue if that is all on Wilt, but surely some of it is.

    Wilt to Indiana

This off season just feels like one step forward, 1.5 steps back so far. Need to get some momentum going.

    Quinn Carroll is a GOPHER!!!

Do we think he’ll be a guard or tackle? A line of Guedet, Carroll, JMS, Rusch, and Ersery sounds pretty good on paper.

    Ky Thomas enters portal

Man if Potts isn’t cleared to play our RB room is pretty thin. Bucky, and then two other RBs coming off major injuries.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS WEST VIRGINIA GUARANTEED RATE BOWL IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Wanted a TD there bad. Felt like the o line deserved it. And woulda been nice for the score to indicate how badly we beat them. Rossi called a hell of a game.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS WEST VIRGINIA GUARANTEED RATE BOWL IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

How on earth do we not have a short yardage play action play? God is this game frustrating.

Did Wright get hurt? Absolutely MIA after two huge catches to start.

Paying respect to West Virginia's tradition of singing Country Roads after big victories (videos)

The song lost a little luster for me when I learned that John Denver was not from and had never even been to West Virginia, but still a great tradition.

Conference USA First Team transfer CB Beanie Bishop Commits

Looks like his only competing portal offers were from Tulane, Miami OH and Old Dominion. Seems very strange for a first team all conference CB. But if Rossi’s happy I’m happy.

    2022 Revenge Tour

Not necessarily part of the “revenge” tour because we won, but Sean Clifford in his “I’m coming back next year” tweet ends it with “burn the boats”. Not sure if it’s a direct shot at Fleck, but weird if it is.

Videos: Sights & Sounds: The Axe is Back! Gophers Down Wisconsin 23-13

Man our RB pass blocking was simply incredible this game. What a joy to watch.
