The NCAA has opened an investigation into No. 2 Michigan over possible rule-breaking around in-person scouting of opponents

OSU did not look great against Wisc. They are not winning any playoff games. B1G will not chastize their golden ticket in Ann Arbor. I doubt anything will happen in time and Michigan will just get a slap on the wrist in the offseason and Harbaugh will b-line for the NFL. I hope nobody hires him...

What a weird column, per La Velle: Gophers victory over Michigan State does not match triumph over Iowa

You're right but the majority of the big ten is in that tier. We are definitely not a team worthy of being ranked.

FBI joins the fray in the "other" Michigan Investigation.

its pretty crazy how much evidence is piling up against them. Supposedly TCU knew they stole signs so they used "dummy" signs in their playoff game and it worked wonders. I hope there are repercussions and I never have to see that mouthbreather Jim Harbaugh on tv again.

Seething Iowa Fans Want Offensive Coordinator Fired

I completely agree. Be civil towards the opposing team and refs. And of course nobody is thinking about poor schmuck that needs to pick up the trash later on (I am a sports turf manager).

Seething Iowa Fans Want Offensive Coordinator Fired

I love that Ferentz is taking down Iowa football for his own families sake. He must be very disgruntled and dreaming of his 40 mill parachute. All the B1G west teams will struggle to compete during conference play in the new B1G and it will be very interesting to see who is willing to spend on...

    Is AK dinged up?

Purdy is good enough physically and athletically to play in the NFL. Mentally he seems very good. Cool as a cucumber, knows where to pass the ball. I never really paid attention to ISU but I know they were pretty good earlier in the Matt Campbell era when Purdy was there.

Shama: Secret Sauce to Beat Iowa: Huge Passion and Bib Overalls

PJ has always had the energy. Its the in-game decision making that is not his strength.

    The Five Factors that Win

someone told me that if you get a pick 6, you win the game 95% of the time. I have no idea if thats true or not but seems to check out for the teams that have beat us this year.

For how many years an 18-team league without divisions?

It give us lots of good TV match ups all season long. Not much different than the current B1G except promotion bit. East (premier) is stacked, West (pathetic) has no hope of playoff. Also provides even more parity per division. If top premier teams are guaranteed playoff spots their record...

For how many years an 18-team league without divisions?

B1G Premier Division and B1G pathetic Division. Best team in the Premier division is crowned champion and gets auto playoff birth. 2nd and 3rd place play for the second playoff spot. Best team in Pathetic gets to play in some sort of Rose bowl type game. Bottom two teams in premier get...

2 Keys to Win v Michigan

Stranger things have happened! cross your fingers and toss a few dimes in a fountain. Michigan could uncharacteristically melt down with fumbles, missed defensive assignments, errant passes being picked off, etc... We got a snowballs chance in hell... and sometimes hell freezes over! (well it...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Blow Horrendous Game to a HORRIBLE Northwestern Team

Here is your Gopherhole reaction guide for both games and recruiting. Win: ridiculous optimism Loss: denial & excuses Horrific loss: negative hyperbole (fire the coach, cancel season tickets, & blow up the program)

    Stripe Out for Saturday

Maybe im a stickler but it seemed like 10% of nearly every section had the opposite color sprinkled in.

    Stripe Out for Saturday

I was underwhelmed by last years stripe out. The casual fans interest in the gophers just took a massive hit last weekend. I am worried about attendance numbers and stripe out awareness. Hopefully we will get a decent turnout because its homecoming and nice weather.

Fleck is fired up on KFAN

It sucks. Were lucky because were in the B1G and will be getting paid for being on the bottom half of the conference but will never have any security in our ability to recruit and keep high performing players. I'm sure DJack and Taylor will be getting tempting offers after the season. A college...

PMac: Fleck — no hyperbole — is one of the worst in-game Power-5 coaches in the country. He can recruit & market a program. But in-game hes a disaster

This is 90% of sport fans are like nowadays. So much sports entertainment out there people just follow the winners and cling on to polarizing takes. These hosts remind me of the old radio shock jocks (Rush, Stern) who just want to create controversy. It sells ads.

PMac: Fleck — no hyperbole — is one of the worst in-game Power-5 coaches in the country. He can recruit & market a program. But in-game hes a disaster

I somewhat agree. He consistently coaches without balls by taking his foot off the gas when were up and not going for it on fourth when necessary. His use of timeouts is certainly dumb. Running on the field against Iowa and getting penalized was very frustrating. Of course the bad losses against...
