I actually like Pyron more than most. Showed some nice flashes at GT behind a good QB in King. Yes I would've preferred a known quantity like Brosmer but I like that we have a PJF guy and now a backup/competition that has at least played at a P4 level.

I didn't say this but to follow up, I meant just for the rest of this year with Beilien. If anything just to make us look respectable on the floor and give us some credibility. I don't want him long term.

I know the odds of this are like 0.000001%. But honestly just put a call into Beilien, I know mid season coaching moves aren't a thing on college but he's sitting on BTN now, maybe we could talk him into a few months and see what happens.

So your thought is to just use recruiting rankings and don't even play the games? If you took away the media/recruiting rankings and put bama's team in Illinois jerseys, there wouldn't be 1 person complaining about this team not being in. And that's the issue.

I also agree with your take, and if they put in Bama over SMU I would absolutely start to get a plan for forfeiting championship games. If you get penalized for losing an extra game by 3 on a 56yd FG then there is 0 reason to risk playing that game ever again.

Couldn't agree more. I was a season ticket holder for 4 years during a rough time. I stuck it out, I watched my entire life every game religiously. Tonight I watched 3 college games...and 0 seconds of the Gophers. At this point I'm just waiting for next year, there's nothing to watch here. CBJ...

This was never a good idea on my book, 12 is/was too many. Make it 8, your top 5 Champs and 3 wild cards. Regular season doesn't really matter. Bama OSU Oregon those teams are just getting in unless they go 500. There is so much bias "who would be favored " great Bama and OSU have more 5* guys...

I also think this is a good thing to remember. Roster limits likely mean a lot more movement out. Seems likely 20ish guys transfer out.

With the way money works now in sports, I often wonder if teams in pro sports (make no mistake, college sports are now pro sports) even really care about fans/attendance/winning. Sure they will all 100% say it's their only focus and if they had a choice win or lose obviously they pick winning...

I think for them that makes sense. Their bball team is the focus, add in other sports they dominate and football is one of those that they want to win big, but if they don't meh that's OK we are great in other sports we will survive.

I agree with the posts saying I'd go after known quantities at QB. Dillon Gabriel, Cam Ward. Rourke, Howard types. Feels way safer. I guess when you have unlimited money it doesn't matter if you swing and miss, you just pay another kid so.
