    2025-26 Gopher Mens Basketball Roster

That's a tough one- you might be able to put 8-9 guys into that discussion. Starters ---close behind in minutes Asuma Willis ----- Reynolds Durkin----- Tyson Cr.Johnson-- Omot Vaihola----- Turner To me Reynolds and Turner are the most intriguing players- guys with upside that could lift...

What Should I Expect This Season?

Nice work. I like the chances of Turner getting 15+ minutes as we will need size. I think Tysons minutes are shortened by Durkin as I feel like they are similar(?). I also think Grove is going to get minutes. It is going to be a battle for playing time to be sure.

Ski-U-Max! Gopher Men's Basketball Adds Guard Duo to the Program - Maximus Gizzi (New Palestine, Ind.) and Max Lorenson (Eden Prairie, Minn.)

We always complain that Gopher coaches miss kids right in our back yard who go on to bloom late. Maybe this is one of those guys and we can stuff him on our roster until he is ready.

2025 Gophers Basketball Summer Practice Thread

I am guessing Turner is #30. I think you are right about Willis. I watched it 4 times. Love this coach! This is the second video of a practice where a guy drives and kicks it back to a trailing guy at the 3 point line. That's how TT was using Hawkins last year with great success.

Who is Number 4 that coach was talking to? Love that he is filling the kid with positive thoughts!

What Should I Expect This Season?

I am just not buying the idea that Iowa is going to be great. That is a lot to ask from a bunch of guys that started in D2. We’ll see…

CBS Sports Grading rosters of first-year coaches article.

In Niko's offense I could see Durkin playing that role- playing off of Reynolds, Asuma and Willis. Clifford wasn't a go to guy a few years ago. Someone will step up.

What Should I Expect This Season?

I would assume that a coach might modify what he allows from year to year depending on the players he has. To take an extreme situation, in the pros SGA just thrives on the mid range- so while a coach might not generally want that shot- they do with him. I assume that Clifford, for example, was...

What Should I Expect This Season?

I like what Niko has put together. I think this is going to be the quickest group of guards we have had in a long time. Willis, Asuma, Reynolds and Stephens are all quick. I like our chances of finishing higher than 10th. Just a feeling.

    That would be terrific.

    new roster is up

You raise an interesting subject. While it is no guarantee that players return, they may at least have the intention of considering it. This may create a better dynamic as the year goes on, if guys think there is a future to play for with this coach and team.

Inside the Hall: 2025-26 Big Ten offseason at a glance: Minnesota Golden Gophers

I always believe that 3 point shooting percentages come from both the quality of the shooter and the quality of the shot selection. It appears we have a bunch of guys that can shoot it and we have a coach who has run an offense that has been proven to get quality looks. My guess is that...

    TYSON TO GOPHERS

Grove wasn't ready last year physically but I didn't think he looked out of place in the few preseason games. He could muscle up in the offseason and make a big jump. If he is serviceable or better for 10-15 minutes that would be a big help.

I'd love to see them get Clayton and Broome in the draft.

A Decent pre-season projection (sort of) and nice write-up for a change (from CBS no less)

It sure seems that Niko will have a deep bench and no one should have to play tired. That's a good starting point for playing tough defense.

    TYSON TO GOPHERS

We had muscle in Big Frank, he was just too short.
