***OFFICIAL MICHIGAN AT MINNESOTA LITTLE BROWN JUG IN-GAME THREAD - SATURDAY NIGHT PRIME TIME UNDER THE LIGHTS!!!***

As much as I'd love to see an upset tomorrow. . . If we wanted to compete with Michigan, Fleck should have done a better job of recruiting 2-3 years ago. While Michigan was recruiting best-in-the-nation talent, Fleck was assembling some of the worst recruiting classes of the big 10. Upsets...

Post Game Thread: Gophers Blow Horrendous Game to a HORRIBLE Northwestern Team

Back to back 9-4 seasons having the easiest schedule in the Big 10. We were spoiled by that. This year, we have games against real teams in the East.

Post Game Thread: Gophers Blow Horrendous Game to a HORRIBLE Northwestern Team

We got beat by a team that recruits about as well as we do. We should expect it to happen about 50% of the time.

If Fleck doesn't take 100% ownership for this disaster postgame..

It’s easy to say “I take responsibility for the loss” It’s a lot harder to change into football coach who recruits at a caliber to minimize the chance of similar losses happening in the future.

Post Game Thread: Gophers Blow Horrendous Game to a HORRIBLE Northwestern Team

Like I’ve been saying for years: Fleck has consistently had recruiting classes that are in the bottom third of the Big 10, including having the worst recruiting class of the Big 10 in 2022. We recruit at the level of Rutgers and Northwestern — ask yourself: why do you expect we’ll be better...

What is the number one change you'd make to the cuurrent program?

If we had a long-term recruiting plan, we wouldn’t be playing 3-star true freshmen recruits. Especially at offensive line. Facts don’t care about your hurt feelings. We were dead last in recruiting last year. Fleck has to do better...

What is the number one change you'd make to the cuurrent program?

One change? We need better players! Our recruiting class was worst in the Big 10 last year — we can’t compete with Top 25 programs with such horrible recruiting. The biggest long-term improvement in the program would result from consistently recruiting classes in the top half of the Big 10 or...

Postgame Thread: Gophers Lose to North Carolina

I don't understand why anybody thought the Gophers would win today. Fleck doesn't recruit at the level of UNC. We don't have the talent to compete with Top 25 programs right now. We're a middling team with, unsurprisingly, middling recruiting. Our last few years' easy schedules and a few...

Describe the Gophers loss to Tar Heels in 1 sentence.

This loss should have been expected by everybody given the disparity in the recruiting levels between UMN and UNC.

No. We have had an very easy schedule the past few years. This year, we have a real schedule.

You realize the quaterback is a recruit, right? If our QB can't hit the side of a barn, it's because Fleck recruited a QB who cannot hit the side of a barn.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTH CAROLINA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Yeah, we had our opportunities with UNC's mistakes, but we just don't have the talent. It's over. Fleck needs to recruit better players. It's that simple.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTH CAROLINA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Yeah, that's my point. If we had better players, we'd be winning. But Fleck doesn't recruit at a level to compete with top 25 programs.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT NORTH CAROLINA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Last year, UNC's recruiting class was 11th best. Ours was 50 something. They recruit players we cannot touch. We absolutely should have a problem competing with them. Fleck needs to do a better job recruiting if he wants to compete with top 25 teams. It's as simple as that.
