All Things Nolan Winter Recruitment Thread (Class of 2023, Gophers Offered, Son of Trevor)

I dunno for sure, my assumption is a college in a large metro area? But you'd have to ask Winter if that's what his reasoning actually is and what he means by "city school".

Prices on the secondary market should be low for those. I might have to see if the wife and kids are interested too.

All Things Nolan Winter Recruitment Thread (Class of 2023, Gophers Offered, Son of Trevor)

stopped over at Buckyville, and their posts seem to also say that he's headed there. I'm a bit surprised that he didn't pick MN. I wouldn't blame this on Ben though. I'm giving him some time. If he didn't want to play at a "city school", well, there sure isn't anything Ben could do about that.

Sinclair(Bally's Sport) nearing a deal for NBA streaming rights for direct to consumer offering

We switched from YTTV to Direct TV Stream just to get Bally's. it was more expensive and I really liked the YTTV interface and DVR better. If they go back to YTTV, I'm switching back as well. I'd prefer it wasn't another app that I have to download on my TV. it's nice to just have the...

Would we rather be playing Iowa this week?

You'd think if he's even a decent punter, he'd break the single season record for punting yardage with that many punts! I wonder if that will help their punter recruiting. :)

    Week 4 Other Games Thread

They might want to not televise that Iowa/Rutgers game. If someone stumbles across that without knowing much about college football, they might think it's the worst sport in the history of sports. I'm not sure I've ever seen an over/under at 35. that's pretty nuts.

All Things 2022 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I said the same thing to my wife when we were at the Vikings/Packers game. How is #84 not retired? That's insane. I like Irv Smith Jr, other than that drop, but he should not be #84.

History: Last Two Victories Against Michigan State

fun to read those old names from the past. Thanks for posting that! Drew Stanton was one of 5 Unitas award finalists and the team was 4-7? He must have had a darn good year to be up for an award on a team with that crappy record.

All Things 2022 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

I heard this stat on the radio as well. If so, it's pretty nuts. According to Dick Bremer (via 93x) the Saints have had like 83 different players this season too, so injuries have been hitting AAA as well. I thought he said like 50 some was a lot of players for one team in a season, so 80+ is...

Jamison Battle: Hey everyone, earlier today my bike was stolen while I was in class.

can you still buy a club? I hadn't seen one of those in years until I was at my kids youth hockey tournament this spring enjoying a beverage in the parking lot when some older dude pulls up in like a 1995 Honda that was a complete rust bucket, puts the club on, and gets out. This in a...

The NBA is expected to undo a rule that has been in place since 2005, lowering the age limit for the NBA Draft from 19 to 18.

I'm on board with this. If there are a few kids good enough to go pro right away, so be it.
