What is your favorite Gopher football memory?

Stole my answer! I was lucky enough to at that game and can still picture it.

2023 College Basketball Transfer Portal Watch Thread

I agree with your point and would like to add frontcourt depth as well. I am, however, hopeful that adding perimeter defensive ability and quickness will help keep the bigs out of foul trouble. Continually having to help and recover puts bigs in a terrible spot.

2023 College Basketball Transfer Portal Watch Thread

He was in foul trouble for nearly the entire game against Wisconsin and couldn’t play aggressively. He showed to be a high-energy, plus defender in the post all year. His length, strength and athleticism makes him a very capable defender (all over the floor). Needs to make some adjustments to...

Recruiting the next few years in Minnesota

Can we rename this thread? I'm thinking we could go with: "Crabbily arguing semantics with people we have no chance to convince" or "Beating our heads against the wall" or "Continuing to touch the red-hot stove". Anyone else have ideas?

Gophers Basketball ROCKED by Injuries in Coach Johnson's Second Season

I wasn't trying to start an argument. I was making an observation and comparing the Iowa game to the previous couple games. Did you not notice a more competitive effort?

Gophers Basketball ROCKED by Injuries in Coach Johnson's Second Season

At this point, I'm less concerned with the losses and more concerned with the lack of competitiveness. For the record, I think CBJ can be the guy to bring it around, but we need to start seeing some progress and competitive fire. Last year's team was at least usually in the game. I get that...

Dennis Evans moves to number 11 Nationally on Rivals

Hopefully he will use the snub as motivation. He sounds pretty focussed and grounded, but a little extra fuel can't hurt!

All Things Isaac Asuma Recruitment Thread (Class of 2024, Minnesota's Top In-State Target)

I'm not saying either is a point guard. I'm just saying they can get the ball up the floor on occasion if necessary. I just like having multiple options who can shoulder some of the burden.

All Things Isaac Asuma Recruitment Thread (Class of 2024, Minnesota's Top In-State Target)

I had the same thought on Holloman. I have no problem with more than one point guard on the floor (or on the roster) at the same time. Hopefully, they can be reasonably consistent from the outside, too. The nice thing about guys like Henley, Carrington and Christie is that while they may not...

Shooter: former Gophers coach Jimmy Williams has worrisome health issues

Jimmy Williams was the coach for what was my biggest sports thrill. We sat row 2 right under the basket for the Iron 5 win against OSU. I got his, and the five starters' autographs after the game (along with Joe Senser, who happened to be hanging around after the game). I was at Game 7 in...

This will not attract 5⭐️ recruits 🤦🏻‍♂️

But we've got Gushers. Take THAT, OSU.

A Nod to Past Gopher Greatness

Just ran across this on Youtube. Maybe only the old timers will remember, but this is good stuff. A little homage paid from son to father a few years ago: Musselman Throwback
