Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

I’ll forward your feedback to the lawyers involved in the negotiations ;)

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

Both will be gone from the ACC shortly… it’s just a matter of where they land. UNC has more leverage.

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

The B1G has looked out west…. at Arizona, but not ASU… the two Bay Area teams (neither moves the dial much at all alone, and certainly not together)… Utah, Colorado, and Kansas. As mentioned earlier, the B1G appears ‘done’ looking out west, and are now trying to finalize ND and FSU. We’ll...

Greder: The U’s total NIL fund is roughly $2.5 million, so an 8-5 season can be considered a quality return on investment.

If only Larry Ellison had directed a fraction of one of his billions to his Alma mater

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

You could be correct, but I am hearing that the B1G is finished expanding out west

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

You make a good point, although I anticipate we will see the CFP ground rules change, as soon as this coming year. Who gets in? Who doesn’t? How many teams? Who gets a bye? Should there be any byes? Etc.

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

Maryland, a charter member of the ACC at its founding in the 1950’s, paid between $25 and 33,000,000 to leave the ACC!! And they accepted a greatly reduced payout over a period of a number of years in order to join the B1G. WOW… what a statement (indictment?!) on the ACC. Not sure what the...

Very interesting article. Iowa basketball player Caitlin Clark made more NIL money her senior year than the entire Gophers football roster made this past year?!!

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

This is temporary… all are on a path to a full share… and deservedly so.

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

Would you still take any/all of the schools you mentioned above if it meant that the Gophers - and every other B1G institution - would receive a smaller annual payout? Because that is what would happen

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

The argument you are making regarding FSU… is the same argument you could be making about that little, Catholic college in a small northern Indiana town… how could the B1G possible be enhanced… and every Conference school wealthier… with ND and FSU… than without?? The B1G and its media...

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

The days of Notre Dame making this kind of money as an ‘independent’ will soon be over, and they know it. The good news is they will be able to make more in the B1G

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

I never said I was “so hot to get FSU in the B1G” … I said look for an announcement later this year… that Notre Dame and FSU will become the B1G’s newest members. If my info is not accurate, then I will come back and admit I had it wrong. Why are ND and FSU slated to be the next two...

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

These kinds of questions will eventually face much more scrutiny…

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

Then Someone better hurry up and alert the B1G University presidents! And fast!!!! Because they have been voting Florida State along… FYI… shortly before the pandemic shutdown, as Florida State was working on their application for admittance into the B1G, they did submit their multi-year plan...

Is it fair that Notre Dame is independent?

Look for Notre Dame to announce later this year that they will be joining the B1G. At about the same time, Florida State will be making a similar announcement that they, too, will be joining the B1G

Wow! ESPN...I mean ABC taking every opportunity to tell us the B1G is over-rated.

Same with me. It's important for the B1G to represent well on the biggest stages, such as this inaugural 12-team playoff

Wow! ESPN...I mean ABC taking every opportunity to tell us the B1G is over-rated.

Yeah... I've been listening and watching. ESPN must give the 'script' to their announcers for pretty much every game, even when a B1G team is not playing. By the way, Notre Dame, a future B1G team, does look pretty good. They will give Georgia a game in 11 days
