Sure. But it's still a regular season game. There's only so many backups. They were basically non-functional on offense.

Not close to the same situation. Wentz has had a ton of chances at multiple stops. I'm not going to die on the hill because they're both bad, but Howell at least had upside theoretically. Wentz is what he is.

I'd rather roll with Brosmer or even Howell than sign Wentz. He started for KC in week 18 last year and was beyond awful.

I wouldn't give up more than that. He's 35 and makes $8 million. There are other equal or better receivers that won't cost a 3rd round pick.

How bad does the collapse have to be to at least cost Rocco his job? Falvey is more responsible for the mess but I assume Rocco goes first. There's strong rumors that Mauer is in the minority investment group. I hope he's in Joe's ear telling him to clean house.

Not impossible that the Colts would do Howell for Richardson straight up if they are really committed to Jones.

Over 16 games, he's more likely to get hurt. What is the over/under on the # of starts the Vikings back-up will make this year? 3? 4? I'd rather have the more talented option. They're both young, but Howell was bad last year in Seattle and he's been bad so far as a Viking. Richardson has won a...

Howell does nothing for me. Richardson at least has a skill set and KOC seems to like him. You're certainly right about staying healthy but I don't worry to much about that in a back-up.

Wow, Pohlad Family no longer selling team, will remain owners.

It also depends on how long/ugly the lockout is. It took MLB until 1998 to recover from the 1994 strike. And they are a much weaker sport now. I think it comes down to: Joe didn't want to sell. The rest of them did. They got enough $$ from the new partners to buyout/shut up the ones who wanted...

Why not? Not sure if the salary cap works out, but other than that I don't see a reason not to.

It seems to be there is an easy litmus test for this: Do you subscribe to Peacock solely for the 1-2 Gopher games per year? If no, you're out.

What Should I Expect This Season?

Tubby didn't fail at Texas Tech. He took them from a dumpster fire back to the NCAA tournament. His mistake was leaving for an impossible situation in Memphis.
