You have to consider the balance of men and women sports in relation to the percentage of gender makeup at the U. This was partly the reason for the previous cuts. I doubt they would cut volleyball, softball or gymnastics. All three of those programs have been successful.

If the 7th is a multi position player like Copeland at Indiana. We had 2 starters go down this year which left us 3/4 of our staff freshmen.

I would expect to see jones and hooper in the lineup next season. If Hambrick is done I think they need two portal pitchers to add depth and experience.
