    Knuth No Longer with Team

    Perilously thin at QB now.

    All Things 2023 NFL Draft

Great article - really cool to see him stick it out for four years and get rewarded. Sucks they used the picture of him dropping the INT that would’ve won us the Iowa game.

    Ben Johnson is a Disaster

Beyond the on-court results, the biggest red flag is the lack of coherent roster construction, which suggests he doesn’t have a plan (also supported by the on-court results). The state of our PG and SG positions, which really haven’t been hit by injury, is astounding.

Horrific body language throughout from Henley and Payne today.

    New CO-DC and Corners Coach

Syracuse fans are uniformly upset that he is leaving. Sounds like he was their best recruiter and a good coach.

Not too happy in Rutgersville about the OC hire....

I liked Kirk well enough, and was looking forward to seeing what he’d do with the offense next year, but he’s not some irreplaceable offensive genius and he doesn’t strike me as a great recruiter. The bigger concern to me is is Fleck’s shaky track record on hiring coordinators. But we appear...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS SYRACUSE PINSTRIPE BOWL IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

This feels remarkably similar to how I felt after last season. An ugly bowl win on a criminally sloppy field after a season-redeeming win against Wisconsin.

    No OL transfers troubles me.

The lack of panic offers to O-line transfers encourages me, actually.

    QB Evers to Wisconsin

While I still have hope that Fickell will dash to OSU in two years, with Wisconsin having burned the bridge with Leonhard and the Alvarez era, we can’t bank on Wisconsin and Iowa getting worse to beat them. The U has to keep investing so we can match them.

    Wisconsin targeting Luke Fickell

Fickell is a really good coach, but seems risky to burn bridges w someone like Leonhard for a guy who’d likely leave for OSU at the first opportunity.

Wisconsin made a bold move, do we have the nerve to do the same?

Beyond the fact that it is way too soon to seriously discuss firing Fleck, Wisconsin also had an up-and-coming young coach who turned down professional coaching offers to stay at his alma mater to be their replacement. Do we have that?

Outcoached so bad. They exploit weaknesses and attack them while Fleck expects Ferentz to play as conservative as him.

***OFFICIAL NORTHWESTERN AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I get that we don’t need to do anything more than run Mo to win this game (although that won’t be true the next two weeks) but I wish we did more than run Mo. Let Athan work out the kinks.

***OFFICIAL NORTHWESTERN AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I know it’s supposed to be the RPO, but I’m shocked that we don’t have better play action considering how good our run game is.

    Tanner and Athan Article

In an offense with so few weapons outside of Mo, we need Athan’s athleticism. His ability to keep the ball and run helps our zone read game, and the ability to move the pocket with him helps diversify an incredibly vanilla offense and play calling. He also has a stronger arm and I’ve been...

Post Game Thread: Gophers lose to Illinois

    - WR talent is horrendous. Biggest disappointment considering Fleck’s history - Quinn Carroll is really bad - Oliver is over aggressive - Offensive scheme doesn’t allow for easy completions - Defense is pretty good, but zero pass rush - Walley hasn’t been very good this year - Nubin and Mo...

Post Game Thread - Gophers Crush Aggies

NMSU had two deep safeties the whole game. I think ol’ Jer was content to have us run for 8 YPC to keep the score down. Dylan looked disinterested at times which is my only concern beyond Axel’s injury. Easiest win we’ve had in a decade or more.
