We’ve seen that conservative, please-let-the-game-end approach many times during the fleck era. Never seen the defense collapse like that. Not even close.

I fundamentally do not understand why Striggow and Joyner (who has been a massive disappointment this year) were dropping into zone every play that last drive. How could that possibly be our best option?

I wonder too if beyond the WR talent drop off, D coordinators have just gotten better at defending the RPO slant. We rarely seem to run it anymore, and I can’t imagine it’s only because we have a Crooms or Brockington instead of TJ/Bateman.

I could see mutual interest to an extent here given MSU resources and their need for a “culture change” and program builder. Idk if Fleck has done well enough here though, especially if we have fewer than 8 wins this year.

We’ve given up a pretty high YPC in the running game so far. Getting Lindenberg back will help, but that’s a big concern for next week.

Run game far and away the biggest concern coming out of tonight, but hopeful it’s the 3-3-5. D looked good and will get much better w Lindenberg back.
