***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT ILLINOIS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I would say over half of the things out of Brando’s mouth are false. Amazing how often he’s wrong.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT ILLINOIS IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Running game gives me hope. Need to get to Altmeyer more. Defensive strategy on that last drive was inexcusable.

Scoggins: Now that P.J. Fleck has a QB he can trust, it’s a whole new ballgame for Gophers

While I agree we aren’t a run-first offense this year, it doesn’t seem like teams are changing how they defend us. Very few two-high safety looks and consistent run blitzing. It is refreshing to see Fleck/Harbaugh take what the defense gives us, but it’s partly because of our inexplicable...

The Gophers have not had a victory over Bret Bielema in NaN days.

It’s been 11,664 days, technically. Minnesota beat Iowa when Bert played for the Hawkeyes on November 21, 1992.

Which Gophers true freshmen have stood out in recent bye-week practices? PJ Fleck names three.

I would be eternally grateful for anyone who does have access to the article to share the names Fleck listed and any other insightful tidbits therefrom.

So do we love PJ again?

I admittedly thought the Fleck era was over at halftime of the Michigan game. And Fleck is far from perfect, his ultra-conservative style has hurt us plenty. But he has built a culture that attracts talent we often retain, which is crucial in the NIL era. I’d much rather have Fleck improve...

***OFFICIAL USC AT MINNESOTA MAROON AND GOLD BATTLE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Risky, but id like to see us drop the 2 high safety look. We can’t stop the run with 6 in the box

LBs are not very good this year. Going to have to bring a safety up otherwise they’ll get 7 yards a rush.

Missing Baranowski and Brown out there. Devon Williams and Darius Green are pretty substantial drop offs.

Post Game Thread: Gophers Lose Floyd After Embarrassing 2nd Half

Brosmer is better than AK, but it doesn’t matter because we can’t run the ball for shit. Absolutely shocked at how badly our D-line got smoked tonight. And I’m out on Green/coleman at safety. Give me Perich and Brown. Yet another loss against a very beatable rival. Sigh.

***OFFICIAL IOWA AT MINNESOTA FLOYD OF ROSEDALE RIVALRY IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Darius Green has taken horrible angles on all 3 TDs. So frustrating

"Koi Perich is a Star in the Making"

Agree, but up until last week there wasn’t an obvious candidate who was better (a very sorry state of affairs).

"Koi Perich is a Star in the Making"

In all seriousness, does Koi or Redding have more career punt return yards? Regardless, putting Redding back there instead of Perich is indefensible going forward.

***OFFICIAL RHODE ISLAND AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Offensive line, WR hands, Brosmer pocket presence, and tackling are my frustrations, in that order. So many missed opportunities. But overall pleased to see Brosmer’s accuracy and the willingness to pass the ball.

Ah, yes, of course. A cherished memory from a cherished game

Post Game Thread: Gophers Lose to North Carolina

If Dragan makes the last kick, I’d be telling myself the real Brosmer is the one we saw on the last drive, and that the team would get right during the next two weeks. But the truth is that our teams under Fleck have been painfully boring to watch since 2019. It’s just not fun football. Sure...

Team looks identical to last year. Passing game and scheme nonexistent. Very disappointing

Ah. The most gopher football end to a quarter I’ve ever seen.

Darius Taylor and Daniel Jackson dealing with injuries.

I think the biggest issue has been the lack of WRs who can win at the LOS and get open for slants. RPO just hasn’t been there since 2019 as a result, which was our bread and butter. Sounds like we’ve tried to address that through recruiting and distinct short passing concepts. Hopefully it...
