Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

To me this was the bigger thing. Some had hyped Sanders to a ridiculous level and had him pegged as a first round top of the draft guy which was foolish because he was nowhere close to good enough to justify a pick that high. So they had to make it look like some sort of conspiracy in order to...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

Yeah, that will all come down to what team ends up at 1 and if they need a QB but if he is anywhere close to as good as he is supposed to be it seems very likely he is the first QB off the board and that usually means at or very close to #1 overall. But he still has to prove it this year.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

I haven't seen many going to the race card on this one. If Shadeur had a different father he wouldn't have gotten anywhere close to the same level of hype and probably would have been drafted in roughly the same spot and nobody would have given it a second thought. There was a time when having...

Is 18-point spread against Buffalo too much? BMTS video

18 might be....if Buffalo puts up a fight Fleck is perfectly content to win non-conf games by smaller yet still very safe margins. I don't gamble on sports so as long as we have at least one more point then them when the final whistle blows I'm good.... :)

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

Just like Johnny football.....he is gong to learn real quick that you can't get away with running around like that in the NFL.....defenders are just too good. Browns are going to be dreadful this year with their horrible QB situation.

Still No Statement from Ben Johnson

It is a running something.....I'm not sure Joke is the correct word....but like many Gopherhole things it will probably hang around well past the point of being relevant or even mildly amusing. :)

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

I think it is clear they like him, hell it looks like he is going to make the roster so clearly they do. But I still think Wentz would be the "finish a game guy" if something happened to JJ, which is why they signed him. I'm intrigued to see what happens with Max. He is clearly really smart...

Quincy Avery: Drake Lindsey is so much better than anyone understands. I truly and honestly believe he's gonna be a Rd1 pick when it's all said & done

Gotta believe speed is the key thing working against Drake because in video games speed is one of the most important traits and a lot of those smaller school QBs are likely to be smaller/quicker guys. But yeah.....wouldn't put much stock in the EA ratings :) Look at all the debate that happens...

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

I agree that if JJ goes down in a game, Wentz will be the guy that goes in to finish that game meaning he will be listed as the #2 on the depth chart. Beyond that however there might be a legit battle between Wentz and Brosmer for who would be the starter if JJ goes down for an extended...

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

I agree but you never know with these NFL roster decisions. But it certainly looks like Max is in a great position to have a spot with the Vikings next season, even if it is on the practice squad.

Greg Eslinger enters the College Football HOF.

Offensive lineman and especially interior offensive lineman are not going to be household names for fans of other teams. Eslinger is absolutely deserving of a spot in the College football HOF. 4 year starters at OL are not common and he was an instrumental part of the line that blocked for one...

All about Max Brosmer Making the Cut

If they don't believe Howell has any sort of long term upside it makes sense to get something for him and then hand the backup role to an experienced guy like Wentz. Obviously the hope is he never has to play. So it probably comes down to Brosmer vs. Rypen for the emergency QB/practice squad...

Quincy Avery: Drake Lindsey is so much better than anyone understands. I truly and honestly believe he's gonna be a Rd1 pick when it's all said & done

It feels like Drake made it really clear to teams he was all in on Minnesota pretty early on so that definitely would keep his offer list smaller. Going to be fun to see what he can do. There are almost certainly going to be some growing pains but if he can avoid the big mistakes he can...

Quincy Avery: Drake Lindsey is so much better than anyone understands. I truly and honestly believe he's gonna be a Rd1 pick when it's all said & done

Check out this story on NFL qbs and how they were viewed in high school....Josh Allen had to go JUCO and there are all kinds of other guys that were not high profile guys coming out of high school that have made it to the NFL. Can't wait to see what Drake can do. Scary to put faith in a...

Cal names True Freshman as Starting QB.

So he has a sister named Ella.....fairly normal names for the two of them, and then the parents apparently just started naming the kids after animals. He has 3 brothers Buck, Bear, and Tiger..... lol.

    QB Transfers

The QB carousel in college football is pretty amazing. The number of guys moving around is off the charts. Not sure what exactly the TN/UCLA situation tells us exactly but interesting to see what almost amounts to a trade.

Fleck: We are producing NFL talent at a record level here. We are very proud of that. We are also producing orthopedic surgeons, teachers…

The guys going to the NFL are the ones people notice but good on Fleck for acknowledging that there is more too it then just putting guys in the league because the vast majority of players at the college level will never play a single down of pro football. And even fewer will make a living at it.

The 2025 Gophers football season will be a sucsss if?…

Right there with you, don't get me wrong, would love to have a National Championship or bust program like Ohio State but that just isn't realistic with the way the college landscape is configured right now for places like Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin..... I'm good with what we are getting from...

The 2025 Gophers football season will be a sucsss if?…

There isn't a breakout coming. There is the hope for more years like we had in 2019 or like what Indiana had last year but in this current landscape there isn't a ton of room for upward mobility for those solid programs like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa who are good but not really positioned to...

The 2025 Gophers football season will be a sucsss if?…

Floor and ceiling have definitely been raised under Fleck. Mason took a joke of a program and made it respectable Maturi made a dumb hire and the program took a bit of detour back towards Wacker in the Brester years Kill got things back to Mason levels and showed a little potential to grow...
