University of Minnesota won't use Minneapolis police officers for football games, other events in wake of George Floyd death

If the people watching this event hadn’t recorded the incident and voiced concern, there would’ve been a different response by the PD, I believe. We are responsible for holding police accountable. They don’t do it voluntarily.

I'm no expert, but is this a good thing?...

When the people who witness police-wrongdoing step up, change happens.

I'm no expert, but is this a good thing?...

There is a problem with policing in this country. Anytime police are involved, there is a chance that they unnecessarily escalate the situation and someone is hurt/killed. If we had more accountability for police, I would be more comfortable with their presence.

    recruiting

Yeah let’s not worry about the tens/hundreds of thousands who get wrongfully convicted.

That was my point. Someone is arrested and you assume they’re guilty.

Agreed. But Otis said, "a murderer." Not, "Mcneil who was a problem here."

    Demir

Tre and Demir are really coming on as the season progresses. If the team keeps improving the way it has and we stay healthy, we could make a nice post-season run!

Marcus Carr Most Physical PG Since...

Nolen couldn’t finish as well through contact but he was a good defender! Carr is a lot bigger too.

Marcus Carr Most Physical PG Since...

I’m talking about pure physicality. Obviously Mason was a better pg and definitely cold blooded. But Carr has been throwing his body into 7 footers and finishing. Nate was more likely to take the foul and knock down free throws. There were a few times today where he kept the ball alive on...

Marcus Carr Most Physical PG Since...

Carr has been a beast hitting the glass and using his body to score in the paint. Off the top of my head I can’t think of a pg who has been more physical. What do y’all think? Not counting Coffey ;)

This year's team is better than last year's

If last year’s team had this schedule I think they’d have similar records. That’s the risk/reward of scheduling tough opponents.
