All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

One year ago, the Twins were 9 games up on the Tigers. And the two guys who oversaw the team absolutely falling apart have complete job security. It'd be baffling if ownership gave a damn about winning.

I believe this is as real as people who go bezerk and smash their TVs while recording themselves watching a game "live".

They are promoting Conner Prielipp from Witchita to St. Paul, so logically they should be promoting a starter to the bigs here shortly But logic doesn't always come into play with thus franchise.

Minnesota's Deven Eastern embracing leadership role ahead of final season

I think the sky's the limit for Anthony Smith. Like Top 10 NFL Draft pick. If Jaxon Howard makes a leap to match his recruitment hype, watch out.

Wow, Pohlad Family no longer selling team, will remain owners.

Is Ryan Fitzgerald fast? Seems like he's got pretty average speed to me.

Wow, Pohlad Family no longer selling team, will remain owners.

Those patches popped up out of nowhere after 2+ years of nothing on the uniforms, despite carrying all this alleged debt. I was obviously skeptical about the sale from day one, but the timing of announcing a multi-year deal while your team is supposedly for sale seemed awful fishy.

I don't know who it is, but I'd put money that at least one of the buyers has a hefty stake in that Securian Financial company.

Wow, Pohlad Family no longer selling team, will remain owners.

I don't know that they thought this through. They're at home after this (predictable) disastrous NY trip. Corey Koskie is being inducted into the Twins HOF on this weekend. One (or more) Pohlads are usually on the field for the ceremony. Guessing there might be a boo or two from the crowd if...

Wow, Pohlad Family no longer selling team, will remain owners.

Just remember the roster purge from two weeks ago was strictly and purely about baseball and nothing else.

Weird. What happened to the "robust market"? Huh.

I tried telling you people the Pohlads were full of shit. It was a diversion.

You're right. Not fair to say he was fired. His contract expired and they didn't retain him.

All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Over the past two seasons, the Milwaukee Brewers have traded away an ace Cy Young award winner and one of the best closers in the game. They fired their all time winning winningest manager after a 92 win season, all while reducing payroll and dealing with an eerily similar TV situation to the...

All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

I feel like there's very little chance that my decisions could cost my employer tens of millions of dollars in losses, and I'd get a promotion for those decisions.

How's OL looking at this point?

If Roy beats him out, that says more about Roy than Tafai, IMO. Could be Roy is just that good. Either way, they rotate in plenty, so both are going to be needed.

    Kiddos at the game

Do what you want. You paid for your ticket. Just remember everyone around you paid too, and if your experience starts negatively affecting their experience, you're going to become very disliked, very quickly.

Not really, since today will likely be a bullpen game. Makes sense to go with more of these after gutting the bullpen.

Keaschall announced his presence before he got hurt, think this time he's announced that he's here to stay. I'd be shocked at this point if he had any type of Miranda or Julien type regression that ends with him back in the minors.

    Weather - Buffalo Game

That game was on a Saturday. They'd already played at Syracuse week 1. They hadn't made the move to the Thursday opener yet.

Larnach is hurt, so the bench is Julien, Fitzgerald and the catcher they called up. Not that Gasper deserves more chances, but all the options stink.
