    2024-25 Wild Season

Skinner makes absolutely no sense but it is fascinating to follow. I thought Dallas would take it to Edmonton. So far I am not looking wise there. Other than a completely disastrous 3rd period in game one the Oilers look like the better team so far.

Big Ten Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2025 ("if they win nine games or so, he’ll be on the hunt to move.”)

If PJ leaves for a bigger job I don’t think it will be so much a money grab but more of a case of wanting to compete for a title.

Still No Statement from Ben Johnson

I’m curious what you define as “demanding”.

All things Players Coming and Going.

The good news is about 3 years after bonin declared that the B1G killed the program we were inches away from a national title, so I all of a sudden feel pretty good about the future.

Big Ten Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2025 ("if they win nine games or so, he’ll be on the hunt to move.”)

Nobody including myself knows what PJ's plans are, but whoever made this anonymous comment gave the reasoning within the comment.

Interesting Richard Pitino interview on his time at Minnesota

Spot on - Richard has shown class every step of the way since he left here and I will always root for him.

    2024-25 Wild Season

I had Canes in 7 as well. Going to stand by it but am less confident than I was 24 hours ago. I see Dallas having their way with Edmonton but hope I am proven wrong.

Western Conference Finals Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder

It always sucks to lose the last game of the season, but reaching the conference finals and losing to the best team in the league is nothing to be ashamed of. This season is a major success no matter what happens against OKC.

Western Conference Finals Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder

OKC in 7 but wolves absolutely have what it takes to beat them. No result would shock me in this series.

All things Players Coming and Going.

How do you follow bonin and not understand that he constantly moves goalposts to fit his agenda?

    Interesting baseball stats

As a charter member of the "RBIs are a terrible way to evaluate players" club, this one makes me smile.

    Golden State Warriors/Minnesota Timberwolves

And the Wolves have to play a completely flawless game because surely OKC will make no mistakes, miss no shots, won't get beat on D, etc.

    Golden State Warriors/Minnesota Timberwolves

Are people forgetting that the wolves went 2-2 against OKC this year or something? Not sure why all of a sudden they are unbeatable.

    Golden State Warriors/Minnesota Timberwolves

Imagine 10 years ago thinking this organization would make back to back conference finals appearances. Cheers wolves fans, I think I can go to bed early tonight.

    Interesting baseball stats

Awesome stuff. Your last one made me look up Mark Grace’s BBR page and I never knew he was originally a Twins draft pick, but didn’t sign with the team and was drafted by the cubs the next year.

Pete Rose, 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson among players reinstated by MLB

No doubt his career was enhanced by the juice, but he’s a hall of famer if he retires at 30. And I despise the guy.

Pete Rose, 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson among players reinstated by MLB

Well I am a proponent of Santana in the hall as well, but if putting up 139 career WAR is as simple as some juice then everyone should have done it.

Pete Rose, 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson among players reinstated by MLB

Also, I’m not typically one to defend Curt Schilling, but if Pete is voted in it is hard for me to reconcile Schilling being left out.

Pete Rose, 'Shoeless' Joe Jackson among players reinstated by MLB

If Pete gets in and Bonds and Clemens are left out I have officially lost all faith in the BBWAA.
