So far this preseason, there is little to no evidence that Howell, for the 2025 Vikings, is more than fine as a spot starter if McCarthy has to miss a game (or more). I'm don't doubt he did this and that in college and for other NFL teams in previous seasons. Not sure if he's having difficulty...
