Agreed. My wild guess is they had to allege something significantly more serious than just that hazing happened, in order to claim firing for cause. Secret hazing happening where no coach can possibly be expected to know or control, isn't a valid excuse for firing for cause.

How do you keep 3 QB on the roster and keep all the DL that they wanted to keep in order to feel good about trading Phillips? But at the same time, how do you roll into Chicago with two QB that have never played a regular season snap?? Maybe we gotta roll the dice on some other guy in another...
