Yeah if they really think that then that is a little off base, but I think it is okay that they are proud of their success at that level.

Northwestern’s motion to dismiss the wrongful termination lawsuit brought by former coach Pat Fitzgerald was denied today, Fitz seeking $130MM.

It’s what I do for a living. Not that I have any specific insight into Fitz’s case, just drawing on what I know.

I agree. Life time MN resident. Don’t hate NDSU. Like the way they play football. I root for them.

And I don’t know if he got more. Just from my experience I think that might be the case. But I don’t know either way either.

Thielen would be fun because of the story line and is a popular player, but if they really want a 3rd, you have to pass. A 6th sounds about right.

I guess I am confused about what you are arguing. That Fitzgerald was in the wrong? Perhaps, I don’t really know. But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t wrongfully terminated. I was just talking about why they could have settled for more than the buyout.

Wrongful termination suits aren’t just about making the wrongfully terminated person financially whole. He hasn’t been paid in 2 years and the public firing probably has cost him more than a couple of lucrative opportunities and probably will do so for the foreseeable future. Also, every...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

His relationship with God is his business. He can handle that however he wants, more power to him. But you seem to think that you can be a jackass as long as you have a strong private relationship with God. Well sorry, but that means nothing to the people you may plow into when you are driving...

I was surprised to see the comment in that article about whether Thielen would be fine being the 3rd guy when Addison comes back? I would be shocked if 35 year old Thielen would pass up playing for his home state team with a chance at the playoffs and beyond, just so he could get 30 more...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

The point obviously was, we all fall short and have all made mistakes (ala whose qualified to cast the first stone), including me, you and everyone else on this board. Just think how much more peaceful the world would be, if we weren’t in such a rush to condemn every transgression and display...

    Brosmer in Vikings Game

This opinion is more the consensus of football people. It’s possible the GH guys are right on this and I hope they are right and he is already ahead of pretty much every drafted QB, but the GH group is definitely not the place you go for in depth football knowledge, especially on the pro level.

Kansas has received an unprecedented $300 million gift from donor David Booth, believed to be among largest single gifts in history of college sports

I don’t think anyone is filled with angst over your position. I think it lacks context though. If it was all the money he gave away then it does seem frivolous, if it is a small sliver in his charitable giving then it is entirely understandable .but we don’t know either way.

Normally I would agree, but it sounds like this guy has given lots and lots of money towards charitable causes. I wouldn't say EVERY cent this guy donates has to be for a selfless cause.
