    10-2 - tell me I’m wrong

One for how many against the Hawkeyes (with the asterisk of controversial call) .... and OK. GH doesn't meltdown once a year for nothing.

    Fleck's Good Wins at Minnesota

You ignore my premise - the program has been built, it is no longer being built. 2019 is ancient history and was accomplished in part with players from the previous regime. Where is the indication that the program has been on an upward trajectory since 2019? I of course allowed that perhaps PJ...

    Fleck's Good Wins at Minnesota

PF has been here since 2017. Where is the evidence that the program is still be built going into season 9? I would argue that the program is built and there isn't evidence of an upward trajectory anymore. The ceiling is 9 wins but probably the realistic expectation each year is 7 or 8 wins...

    Fleck's Good Wins at Minnesota

Given the conservative nature of PJ's offenses, its hard to imagine our team being double digit favorites ever.

    Fleck's Good Wins at Minnesota

I'm not a gambler but does beating the spread mean winning the game? Might it also mean not losing as bad as the odds makers/betters think they will?

P.J. Fleck gets a new contract extension—pending approval from Board of Regents—keeping him under contract until 2030.

There are suites and premium club seating. And while attendance has improved, most games still have empty seats. Why add amenities for which there seemingly is no demand?

    Fleck's Good Wins at Minnesota

How many of these were upset wins? I think that would be a reverse corollary to the "bad losses" discussion. My perception, which may or may not be factual, is that Fleck averages about a loss a year to a team he should certainly beat, does ok against evenly matched opponents, and only very...

Those three won conference championships. Maybe Fleck gets there with the playing field now slightly leveled. But Fleck did have interest at UCLA but UCLA's poverty dimmed his interest. I do think the longer he's here the less likely he leaves absent a few sub .500 seasons.

    10-2 - tell me I’m wrong

Seems legit except we can't beat Iowa and they might have a QB this year. And Peej always loses a can't lose game. Buffalo, NWSt, or Purdue will pull the upset. 8-4.

U of M Total Operating Revenue by Sport for 2024 (football is 75%, other 18 sports are 25%)

Endowments, donations and institutional support are reported as revenue.

U of M Total Operating Revenue by Sport for 2024 (football is 75%, other 18 sports are 25%)

Did Big 10 hockey increase Big 10 Network revenue at all? Did it increase revenue to the hockey schools? From what I'm reading here, it didn't. Is there a Big 10 hockey conference only because Notre Dame is a hockey member? It would seem to me that the other Big 10 hockey schools are likely...

    BYU QB Reportedly Transferring

If he's still transferring, I hope PJ has reached out. I don't care if he drowns a puppy daily. This isn't your daddy's college football, its a business. And we ought to be in the business of winning games. Is Lawrence Phillips still alive? Does he still have eligibility?

Scoggins: Mark Coyle could frustrate some Gophers coaches with revenue-sharing plan

That I wasn't aware of - although I see now that the Midco deal is subsequent to the analysis I was referring to. $500,000/yr from Midco to UND so maybe the hockey team has positive margins these days.

U of M Total Operating Revenue by Sport for 2024 (football is 75%, other 18 sports are 25%)

Mid major athletics are heavily subsidized. UND hockey loses money. NDSU FB loses money. SDSU's athletic dept revenue is 37% student fees against $6.5 million in ticket sales. USD generates a paltry $1.5 million in ticket sales and has over 60% of its revenue from student fees. These schools...

    Pierce Petersohn to announce tomorrow!!!

Many gopherholers are surprised to learn that there's electricity and internet outside the 494/694 beltway. If there isn't congestion, musical theater, occasional riots and gang violence, there's "nothing to do" and the place must be a dump, especially if a 17 year old kid from there decided to...

    BYU QB Reportedly Transferring

Further- The prosecutor may have decided that the state cannot meet its burden of evidence to convict the QB of a crime. The burden of proof in a civil matter is much lower. Think of OJ. He was acquitted of the crimes of killing Nicole and the other dude, but found liable for their death in...

    BYU QB Reportedly Transferring

Victim doesn't file anything. Victim can report a crime to law enforcement, who investigates and delivers the results of the investigation to the prosecutor who decides whether to charge.

Scoggins: Mark Coyle could frustrate some Gophers coaches with revenue-sharing plan

Where does the money come from to do that? I see an analysis a few years ago that indicated that UND hockey actually loses money (no TV revenue).
