    B1G Recruiting past 5 Years

Agree. I think the star system fails more in basketball than it does in football. Primarily because you can have five 5 stars who can shoot the lights out, but you've only got one ball. Plus, someone needs to play defense. When it comes to football, players tend to have more specific rolls to...

    B1G Recruiting past 5 Years

The star system is nice if it translates to the team when they are on the field. Also, do not under estimate 3 stars, Marcus Mariota was a 3 star QB and he won the Heisman.

Phil Steele: Gophers have 6th best RB room in the country.

Yea, I'll agree with you on Cooley. And as you say a dominate line makes a huge difference. Plus, I do like Oregon's RB room.

Phil Steele: Gophers have 6th best RB room in the country.

Just one game, the Fiesta Bowl, where Oregon actually averaged more yards per carry than Liberty. Also, this was suppose to be about best RB room, Liberty's #2 rusher was the QB with over a 1000 yards. He's not in the RB room. Correct

Phil Steele: Gophers have 6th best RB room in the country.

Do you think they would have led the nation if they had played in the SEC or Big 10? I'd say no and it's not even close.

Phil Steele: Gophers have 6th best RB room in the country.

Anyone who puts Liberty in the top 50 is not paying attention. Total lost of credibility

    Early Big Ten Tier List

Oregon isn't short on QBs, behind Gabriel, Oregon has Dante Moore (former UCLA 4 star) and Austin Novosad. I thought Novosad would push Nix for the starting spot last year. He's got a Justin Herbert type of arm and he was 9-11 in the Fiesta Bowl last year. Granted he was playing against a...

Media Prediction Thread: Minnesota at UCLA

Physically worn out... Lots of banged up players trying to play through injuries. That's what I mean. Plus, the mental of probably being on a three game losing streak.

Media Prediction Thread: Minnesota at UCLA

They already are picking up the Calif talent, USC, UCLA, Wash and Oregon all probably have between 30-50 athletes from Calif... :)

Poll: Which Game Are You Most Looking Forward to?

How dare you put my Ducks down with U$C... ;)

Poll: Which Game Are You Most Looking Forward to?

I personally think Michigan is going to slide this year and USC is going to surprise people. And obviously (assuming both are undefeated at game time) I'm very much looking forward to the buckeyes in Autzen this fall

Media Prediction Thread: Minnesota at UCLA

Just my gut feeling, I'll take the gophers in this one. They play LSU on the road, Oregon at home, then travel to Penn St. the three weeks before hosting the gophers, I suspect they will be pretty beaten up by the time Minnesota comes to town.

    Friday Night Games

This article should take population into account. Minnesota has about 1.5 million more people than Oregon

    Friday Night Games

Maybe this is just a problem for universities located in metro areas with significant competing sports teams. I don't see problems in Eugene, Lincoln, Champaign Urbana, etc.

    Friday Night Games

I personally don't mind Friday games, especially in Eastern time zones, however, playing Michigan State at Autzen (assuming a night game) on Friday just kills the national audience. We also, got a Friday with Purdue at Purdue, two Friday's for my Ducks, so it's interesting and we'll see how it...

2024 Big Ten Championship Game: Ohio State-Oregon leads five most likely matchups for new 18-team title race

To much talk about Oregon vs Ohio St. It's just too early, I'll get wound up about Oct 6th if the Ducks are undefeated at that time. It's the old take them one game at a time attitude. We've got old Oregon St (in cornvalley) and new Oregon State (MSU) to deal with before Ohio St. Plus who knows...

    Transfer Portal 2024

Ok, I'm pretty new here, just trying to learn more about the B1G ten conference that my Ducks will be part of in the future. Here are a couple takes on what I've observed so far (based on visiting a few big 10 boards), lots of emphasis is put on retaining in state athletes, lots of fans have...

Does Ben Johnson have any defenders left?

If you are talking basketball you might want to check out where Gonzaga is located.

Does Ben Johnson have any defenders left?

This is really difficult to understand..... Eastern Washington is not WSU. Spokane, WA is just 30 miles from WSU. Spokane metro population is probably a bit over 500,000. Also, referring to "nearby college rivals" is interesting, what qualifies as "nearby"? The perception of distance is much...

Post Portal Big Ten Tourney Double-Bye Teams

I disagree a bit with the comment about Oregon, they've had an incredibly high number of injuries the last couple years. It's not about doing less with more, it's about doing what you can with limited numbers. I think Oregon was playing with 8 scholarship players for a chunk of this past season...
