All of these schools doctored their financial statements to not show a loss on women's sports which is why their revenue is absurdly high. Minnesota, to its credit, still reports accurate numbers.

Getting rid of women’s basketball would fix the problem. They lose like $200-300K per player, it’s absolutely ridiculous amounts of graft. If you cut that, and then whatever men’s sports you need to keep things in balance, then I think that fixes the issue. Agree with baseball. I like Gopher...

Love the post. Might quibble with fan base much like our own. They have a much larger and more invested fan base than the Gophers. They are kinda the best proof point that the whole, “Oh the Gophers are competing with other sports” argument is BS

Just as long as we can all agree right now that even if Athan beats the wheels off him this fall, it doesn’t mean that bringing in competition last year was a bad idea. I’m okay watching a struggling freshman QB this year.
