All Things 2025 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

The Twins wouldn’t be able to do it. That’s the issue. They have zero chance of signing a guy like Ohtani even if they offered him more than the Dodgers. No player is going to defer that much money at a smaller market.

Maybe, maybe not. But man Buxton looks so good right now. Like he's a legit top 5 in the AL MVP race right now.

Curt Cignetti on IU’s notably soft non conference slate: “We figured we’d adopt the SEC scheduling model.”

"Yeah but playing Northwestern or Maryland is just like playing a non P4 team. While playing Kentucky or Mississippi St is like playing the 3rd best team in the Big Ten." I think I did that right.

If this core doesn't get it done it's going to be because guys like Correa, Lewis, Ober, etc didn't get it done. Right now you have one of the top CF in the game, two legit top pitchers and a really good bullpen. Getting rid of anyone of them seems counterproductive.

I don't get why so many people want to trade our best players that are under team control for multiple years at a team friendly cost.

Saw a report that the asking price for Jax or Duran is multiple top 100 prospects. If they could get a say top 30 and top 75 I'd probably do it. But if it's two from the 75-100 range, I'd pass.

You’d be making success tougher in the next few years. Even if they get a nice return, the prospects are not likely to have the same impact that Duran or Jax would have the next two seasons. I don’t think they really need to buy a buyer or seller. Sure look to move guys like Bader and...

So you guys are ready to give up on the next few seasons? If not, it makes no sense to deal guys like Jax and Duran. Unless you get a very big return which is unlikely. Two high end relievers under contract for a few more years and aren’t costing a lot is pretty nice to have.

I mean the Twins did hit the crap out of the ball, especially in the last two innings.

Yard Barker: Koi Perich on potential two-way role: 'I always wanted to do it'

15 plays a game would mean he plays 1 out of every 4.27 plays based on last year's average. I wouldn't expect it to happen every game but I could see it happening in some. Half those could just be running plays where he's a decoy running in motion or something. Not suggesting they run that many...

Which team did media pick to win the conference in the 15th annual cleveland.com Preseason Big Ten Football Poll? (11. Minnesota)

I would group it like this. Tier 1 Ohio St Penn St Oregon Tier 2 Michigan Indiana Illinois Tier 3 Iowa Nebraska USC Washington Minnesota Tier 4 Wisconsin Michigan St Rutgers UCLA Tier 5 Maryland Northwestern Purdue

'The Cosby Show' Star Malcolm-Jamal Warner Dead At 54, accidental drowning

Dang. Drowning is a bad way to go. The Cosby Show is still one of my favorite shows of all-time.
