All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

I'm sure we all expected Rudy morphing into Wilt for a night, right? I thought there were stretches in the second half where some of our guys got over anxious on offense but overall damn satisfying.

Movies that hold up vs. those that don't

Monty Python and The Holy Grail was released 50 years ago this month. Rather than a clip or quotes, here's a good tribute to director, Python and historian Terry Jones. https://www.avclub.com/terry-jones-monty-python-and-the-holy-grail-beating-heart

All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

Luka is going to have early onset arthritis from all the times he twirls his finger asking for a review. I seriously cannot think of a guy who complains more frequently than him.

Former Gophers guard Braeden Carrington is now a Badger.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be former gopher Braeden Carrington officially pronounced dead?

Bare Bones SUV EV for +$20K

I love the idea but I feel like most people are not mentally ready to take a step back in terms of features. After reading your post I looked into this a little more and the Slate doesn't even have power windows. The price will certainly get some people buying but there's an entire...

Let the music play - new Concert Reviews/Experiences

Ha ha excellent. Funny you should mention because I got there about 8:10 the line to get in was really long. Both people immediately behind me we're there to see Charlie Parr and didn't realize he was the opener. They took it with good humor but they heard half the show that came to see from...

Let the music play - new Concert Reviews/Experiences

Mike Watt is that the Turf Club tonight. He's 67 years old and playing something like 45 shows and 51 days. Get out and support the man in the van with a bass in his hand! Also the opener is Charlie Parr with Greg Norton and Billy Dankert

    Bands/Artists From Minnesota!

Seems like a smart move with their audience getting so old. They needed to target us spry 50 somethings. I checked in on it today for a minute and it was indeed weird to hear Depeche mode on KQ

    NCAA Tournament 2025

Bueckers and UConn certainly peeking at the right time. I was very impressed with UCLA in the games I saw them in earlier this year and the Huskies are just tearing them apart

Val Kilmer, Actor Renowned for Receding Into His Roles, Dies at 65

Should also mention that the Lesbian Bars of North Carolina book being in the Swedish bookstore in East Berlin is the greatest nonsense joke ever.

Val Kilmer, Actor Renowned for Receding Into His Roles, Dies at 65

Top Secret definitely holds up. I rewatched it a couple years ago and I stand by my assertion that it's as good as the first Airplane if not better

Val Kilmer, Actor Renowned for Receding Into His Roles, Dies at 65

RIP to an incredible talent. If you've never read Chuck Klosterman's interview with him I would recommend it. Kilmer had calmed down from his Wilder days but he was still an unusual dude.
