I agree with the bowl matchup part. The 2016 and 2019 bowl games were fair matchups. Missouri overmatched the Gophers in 2014. The rest since 2014 were Gophers overmatched the opponents by a ton. They should have been picked for better bowls a few times.
I can only see him changing his mind if OSU, UGA, Texas, or ND get in the mix. Perhaps they're not going after TE currently which is why they haven't offered.
Just as important as the QB position is the receiving corp. We saw in 2019 what happens when you have a capable QB and skilled receivers. Brosmer was fantastic, but didn't have difference makers for receivers.
