Chip on Gophers: Pitino never connected with MN HS and AAU coaches; first two calls should be Beilein and Musselman; can't let Marquette get Garcia

No matter who the new coach is, he's going to have to get 3 or 4 transfers in here who can shoot. Because there are no pure shooters on this current squad. We cannot win when we shoot 30%.

***OFFICIAL RUTGERS AT MINNESOTA SENIOR DAY IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I sure hope the next coach comes in with an offensive plan that involves some movement and balls going into the post. We don't even look inside and the post guys don't look like they want the ball in there. Also a realization that if you don't have good outside shooters, it might be a good idea...

That seems to be our end of half play, whether it's Carr or Mashburn. Dribble at half court , the other four guys stand and watch. Jack up a long one when shot clock runs out. Brilliant. No movement, no rebounds.

Let the youngsters like Freeman play. See what they've got. At least Freeman will give an effort. Play the walk ons. They can't shoot any worse. It's unbelievable how this team has crashed and burned.

It kills me that other teams set picks, cut to the basket, run back doors to get open. Yes, we may run the high pick and roll up top, but usually just have one guys dribbling and 4 guys standing around watching. You've got to have a purpose on offense.

If a kid has a chance to come in and play at a Big Ten school, they should be able to attract some decent transfers. And there would certainly be room on this team for some talent, especially shooters.

If you were scouting the Gophers for another team, you'd go back to your head coach and say, "Coach, I don't have a clue what they're trying to do."

Why in holy hell would a guy like Gach coming down on a break pull up and stop at the arc looking for a pass? He hasn't made one in about a month, has he? That's our mentality.

Not only do our guards never look to pass the ball inside, our bigs don't even look like they want it.

What the hell offense are we running -- again? Carr dribbling, four other guys standing. Proven recipe for disaster.
