Glancing thru ZAs Twitter follows, it appears Nebraska and Iowa may be showing early interest. A handful of G5 schools as well.

It certainly might. One can only hope those whom wish to transfer take the education part into consideration. Those that do not, likely did not care about education to begin with. According to this article, slightly less than half of P5 transfers either fall to FCS, JUCO, or did not land...

Fair point. If they have good/decent grades it shouldn't be much of an issue to transfer to another school. If they don't have the grades, education likely isn't important to begin with. I do not think playing time and getting an education have to be mutually exclusive.

Agreed. The ones who can't evolve with the changes will get left behind. Those that get ahead of the curve will have success while the others are still trying to figure things out. Curious how you feel education is sacrificed? Can they not get an education while playing elsewhere?

I agree Ciarrocca helped Tanner's skillset with the RPO offense. But when he took his 3 or 5 steps drops and the pressure came, he too often bailed off to the side instead of up the pocket. We saw that again this year. But, I now understand only 20 or so guys on the planet can pull that off...

Once again you are correct and I was out of line. Apologies all around.

Agreed. It'll be fun to watch how it all evolves. Some of those AAC/Mountain West/Conference USA games could get more and more entertaining and worth watching. Eventually, way down the road, maybe more parity between the Power 5s and the G5s. Cincinnati is doing it now. UTSA had a short...

Some of them just aren't ready to hang up the cleats because they enjoy competing on game days. I get your point on the education though but there are some very high academia institutions in the FCS division.

It looks like he had a few offers at lower levels so there could still be interest for him out there. Hopefully, anyway. https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2020/dylan-hillard-mcgill-255847

I think it will come down to a right fit situation for Zack. If a place like Vandy or Kansas Univ has an immediate need, experience is a major plus over the average high school player coming into his first year of college.

Morgan has to improve his pocket awareness and learn to throw better and more accurately when he isn't set. That's not the function of the OC or QB coach. It is 100% on the QB to get better.

Hole Poll: What grade would you give the Gophers 2021 football season?

I had big dreams of playing in Indianapolis this year. I'm not expecting us to beat the likes of OSU or even Michigan but given the offense this year and the improvements, I really did have high expectations. I'm going with C+ and winning the Axe helped. But I really want to see the Gophers...

Tanner Morgan Announces Return For 2022

Just to be clear, I haven't suggested Tanner not be the starter. What I have said is at certain points in certain games the reward may have been higher than the risk by trying a new QB to spark things. QB2 gets very limited reps with the 1s during the week. At certain points, if your QB1 is...
