***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT wisconsin PAUL BUNYAN AXE IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Wow. And to think, it was reviewed and everything. Maybe "forcible" is too subjective for some. He had no place else for his face to go. Jesus.

It wasn't even a good Roughing the Passer call but at least we got that out of it. No way it was Targeting (as defined in rule book).

I remember helping "coach" with my eldest brother who was a first year HC for a local 7th grade team. He taught his punt return team to evacuate the area like the Gophers do. I don't think I've ever seen it played out quite as drastically as Minnesota though.

CBS: Florida withdraws scholarship offer to QB Marcus Stokes after video surfaces of him rapping racial slur

Anyone using the n word is broadcasting their dismal emotional intelligence. If you disagree with me on that, I know you are emotionally unintelligent.

Anything that is ok for one race but not another is by definition, racist. No? I'd like the word itself to be cancelled, honestly.

    When do you bench Tanner?

I guess it all depends on Tanner's undisclosed injury... <wink>

    When do you bench Tanner?

It's cool how this post is exactly a year ago.

Jason Williamson was 2x MN Gatorade Player of the Year. Also a 4*. What was your point again?

Clark also had rotator cuff surgery on his throwing shoulder in the Fall of 2020. That's a long recovery for a QB.

Exactly. How did we know Ky and Bucky were really good backs last year? Because they took advantage of their opportunity when Mo and Trey got hurt. It's impossible to know how a kid will play in game action until they get game action.

Another way to look at it is Fleck is (and has been) 100% comfortable with Tanner running the offense. He trusts him with the keys so-to-speak. And for the most part, Morgan took advantage of the opportunities when presented (like Annexsted's injury and the entirety of the 2019 season) to earn...

Agreed. The Gophers have been much improved with Fleck at the helm. I just want more...

Yep. It works until it doesn't. I'm trying to remember when the last National Champion won with a ball control type offense? 2002? It seems to me the teams consistently in the top 10 have evolved their styles to something other than ball control. But, maybe it's just a coincidence.

Up-tempo keeps defenses on their heels and fatigued. A little mix & mash of the two would be awesome.

He was a great coach for his time. I'm not sure his brand of ball would have kept tOSU in the top tier over the last decade+. He'd probably still do well with the service academies though.

Fleck has a lot of Jim Tressel in him. He'll need to lose some of that in order to reduce his fixation on ball control.
