Our secondary is officially an area of concern.

Tough call for me. I feel like they just are different overall gameday philosophies. PJ is captain conservative, which still boggles my mind since he was a WR. Whatever floats your boat, PJ pun unintended.

I'm not sure about this. Head coaches are often CEO types. There are many good ones that delegate all gameday decisions. I think PJ and Prime are quite similar, not the same of course. Deion does have some recruiting advantages with the fame and experience of being one of best athletes ever...

I think TCU is an average to above average P5 team. Still maybe we should better define what "average" is. Is average the 50-60th team in the FBS? Or is average for a P5 team actually in the 30-50th range? I think TCU is probably around 40 this year. 🤷‍♂️

I disagree based on I think they are a two trick pony. Sanders at QB and Hunter. Two top draft ponies. Respect your take though. Hard to argue with our failures at passing this year.

Eh, I'd put money on the Gophers beating Colorado if they were playing this year. They are a good matchup for the Gophers. I'd say otherwise if they had a good defense.

Gophers vs Wildcats - 247 Starter ratings

True. I might swap in Brockington. (Jackson is starting in that list already)

Gophers vs Wildcats - 247 Starter ratings

Here's the 247 starter ratings for this week. Rules: 1 - www.ourlads.com is used for the starters. 2 - This is starting 11 only on both sides. If more than 11 are listed, I try to be fair when removing. When it's obvious that a player will not be playing, I slot in the next depth player. 3 -...

Postgame Thread: Gophers Lose to North Carolina

The Gophers can of course compete with top 25 recruiting programs. It just that there are some variables there. Obviously, a difference in speed and skill can be shown in games, true. I don't think that difference really exists much if were talking a bunch of 86s vs a bunch of 89s. But...

Describe the Gophers loss to Tar Heels in 1 sentence.

North Carolina has averaged top 20 in recruiting the past five years(including 16th, 14th, 11th), has a legendary coach in Mac Brown, the likely first overall pick in the NFL draft, and I would not be surprised if they win the ACC.

Postgame Thread: Gophers Lose to North Carolina

Defense: Not concerned. We stopped the run, had some big play miscues by inexperienced guys, and this is the best QB the Gophers will play against for years. Barring injuries North Carolina will likely finish in the top 15 at the end of the year. Offense: I admire patience, particularly...

Gotta start somewhere. It would be tough to not be giddy and full homer.

Tyler is a nice big play piece but we're in need of a RB out there who can break tackles.

Why not take the points? I mean if you're going to go for it on 4th and short, which I wouldn't this early, then trust your line and QB sneak or biggest RB.
