Describe the Gophers loss to Iowa in 1 sentence

Can we make that fringe bowl team website again?

Updated AP Top 25 rankings - Nebraska #23

As I said, they will likely lose to Illinois.

** How Many Games Will the Gopher Win? ** Pulse Vote After Crushing Nevada

Wisconsin is not very good this year. They are absolutely beatable. Illinois will be tougher, but if Minnesota won, nationwide people wouldn't declare it an upset. Neither would be. Are you living in 2024?

How many good teams are there in college football?

Good = top 10 ranked teams that the Gophers lose to by a lot OR top 25 teams that the Gophers don't play Bad = any team the Gophers win

You think Nebraska is better than Kansas? I'm not sure about that.

Updated AP Top 25 rankings - Nebraska #23

Nebraska has a favorable schedule. They will likely lose to Illinois and possibly Rutgers before getting completely destroyed by tOSU, followed by 1-3 the rest of the way. 6-6 my bet

    The reason we lost

Bucky and Iowa did not play teams anywhere close to the talent of North Carolina. Having said that, Iowa's offense is better. Wisconsin didn't impress me.

    The reason we lost

I mean lots of blame to go around on the Gophers blocking. But that holding penalty on 2nd and 1 on that final drive was unacceptable. The worst thing that generally happens there is Major has to break a tackle or get no gain. You have to let em go.

Y'all are blaming the wrong thing for that loss...

I'm actually more optimistic about Brosmer (and the defense) after this game. It's just too bad that I haven't been convinced of the OC situation since KC left. What role PJ plays in micro-managing that, I have no idea. I don't care about the blame being handed out. Figure it out PJ and good...

Brosmer Shows Gophers Short Passing Attack - The U is incorporating more short passing routes in fall camp.

This is forever how I am going to remember last year's passing attack.

Phil Steele: Gophers have 6th best RB room in the country.

If the Gophers played that schedule, that would be some fun stats to look at.

Phil Steele: Gophers have 6th best RB room in the country.

They had a great season last year. But, ehh, the schedule wasn't exactly a gauntlet. They got to see how good they really were at the bowl game. ------- Win ------- Bowling Green = 34-24 New Mexico State = 33-17 @Buffalo = 55-27 @FIU = 38-6 Sam Houston = 21-16 @Jacksonville State = 31-13...

Unlimited transfer rule is made permanent

And honestly, I don't think the NFL would make college football a minor league like baseball (I can't see the powerhouse FBS schools agreeing to that), but perhaps more like how soccer works between different leagues? What a weird situation we're in.

Unlimited transfer rule is made permanent

Ha. I suppose so. I'm really curious what college football will look like in 10 years.

Unlimited transfer rule is made permanent

College football players will be employees. There will eventually be no limit to how long a player can play for the team or who can play. NFL players whose careers struggle or are at their twilight can sign a contract with a college team. Without the NFL involvement, it will be a competing...

Unlimited transfer rule is made permanent

This makes me wonder when the NFL will get involved and offer their help in navigating a CBA. It will probably pave the way for an earlier draft age and all NFL teams having DI football colleges as minor league affiliates.

Vote expected this week to settle NCAA class-action lawsuit

The future of non-revenue sports is going to be interesting.

How many of you think these pre-season rankings of the Gophers are $#!+?

I probably should have voted maybe instead of no. I like the incoming recruits, but I have no idea if we're going to be any good, particularly at QB. And at this stage, I'm not confident in our OC and DC. My guess is a 6-6 regular season.
