When I was leaving the Outback Bowl game I was totally surrounded by maroon and gold clad fans. It was leaving a Gopher game in MSP. Way more than 10,000 fans.

If we can't beat Bowling Green and a so-so Illinois team , plus arch rival Iowa, with a very large, experienced OL this year, I I fear for our results next year.

We're not as good a football team as I thought/hoped we were. Remember, we lost to Bowling Green....at home no less.

Fleck is a decent guy with good values. He is not an elite coach otherwise he would have hired elite coordinators...BTW, I totally agree that Coyle needs to go. He is an arrogant, incompetent jerk, and that's being kind to him.

We lose many, many seniors this year on both sides of the ball. I shudder to think of next season.

I have had several relatives graduate from Southlake Carroll HS. Its a first rate program with many state championships in several sports. Southlake is an affluent community and the school has premiere athletic facilities and great coaching.

Excellent summary. I agree optimism is warranted on D. I just hope we can get more depth on the OL next year. Losing several top instate OL recruits leaves a sour taste with me.
