Well this match is going as expected. Nebraska much too tough for the Gophers. The really sad thing is they are the #1 team in the nation with no seniors and 4 freshman starting!

Lack of consistency from players and inability to close a tight set are two big issues. Think Wucherer had 3 errors on a row to hand that 2nd set to Purdue.

Hope the Twins are not in their anemic at bat mode as really need to put runners on base and get some runs! That error in the first really hurts.

Think that bunt with only one out was a big mistake especially since it jammed the third base runner. Might have been able to score another run there. Hoping these 5 runs hold up.

This year is in free fall, not necessarily the program. The transfers Cook brought in are out performing Hugh's recruits. It could even be worse, if you can imagine that, without those transfers.

Yeah the team is what it is at this point, next weekend we'll be halfway through the season. I wouldn't expect MN to host the first weekend and depending on where they get sent might not even make the 3rd round this year which is a huge disappointment. Again just don't think the talent available...

Not sure what thread to post this in but watching Texas vs BYU tonight and Texas subs Wenaas out of the back row. She was one of our best serve receivers last year. Just supports why so many fans are scratching their heads about both our OHs playing 6 rotations.

Agreed, can you imagine Nebraska without Coboy in for Battenhorst? That would have leveled the playing field in this match for the Gophers but John Cook would never allow that.

Not very impressed with the Badgers yet. Nebraska looks like the team most likely to win the B1G based on preseason play. But it's a long conference season so we'll see how their Frosh hold up.

Well that was a cluster of a match. Gophers may have the talent but the lineup configuration is not right. KCook needs to sub Z and Hanson in to play back row for the OHs. Let Grote play 6-rotations, my God she's earned it. If coach sticks with this current lineup, may just end up in the middle...

Too bad Lopez's stellar performance gets overshadowed by not getting the W.
