Nebraska getting a win at Kansas State would be a little helpful for the league too (and good for the Gophers specifically).

UNLV closing this out would interestingly make Creighton 0-2 vs Mountain West teams and 8-0 vs everyone else (including 2-0 vs the B1G).

Looks like Henley will come out on top of what I've been thinking of as the "Kool-Aid Bowl".

A lot depends on financial positioning, but with the caveat that I don't know their situations in that respect, I could see both Oklahoma State and West Virginia looking to make moderate-to-big swings with their next hires. Also, do we think DeVries gets in the mix for any of these jobs (i.e...

Predictably for a Wisconsin-Virginia game, there were only 55 possessions...giving up 65 points in that slow a game is not great (indeed though, even worse O).

***OFFICIAL SOMETHING CALLED USC UPSTATE AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Some factors here: 1) We've got improvements so far relative to last year in FT% from Garcia, Ola-Joseph, and Carrington (only slightly in his case, but it is an improvement). 2) Removing some pretty poor FT% guards from the roster in Cooper, Henley, and my namesake; none of them shot better...

Oregon State is not good (to understate it) but that's a 20 point neutral court power conference win for Nebraska. Think they've had all 5 games with D efficiencies under 100; with how soft the middle/lower-middle of the conference has looked my intrigue level in them is slightly raised.

***OFFICIAL MISSOURI AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The MTE Minnesota dropped out of is the Main Event in Las Vegas; it starts tonight with San Diego State vs St. Mary's and Washington vs Xavier and finishes on Sunday. (Feel like I remember a little consternation back when Minnesota was still a participant about finding rooms in Vegas the same...

Even with poor non-conference slate, 21 wins should get the Gophers a ticket to the Madness

Yeah, Isaiah Thompson, formerly with Purdue, didn't play last night. Led FGCU in scoring last year. I believe he was mentioned as a possible Gophers portal target when he was in it after the '22 season.

    Gophers-Colorado St scrimmage

I looked at Fuller's old tweets about past scrimmages and it seems to be a policy of the current regime to not let the local media get or report too many specifics of these. I couldn't find any details besides stating they lost to Oklahoma two years ago and nothing even referencing that they...

Jamison Battle to enter the Transfer Portal

Yeah, almost anyone in the portal who put up points like he did in 21-22 at a high major team (whether that team was any good overall or not) is going to get looks from other high majors. Indiana could slot him into almost exactly the same role they had Miller Kopp play the last two seasons.

Carey is a Penn State basketball legacy (the Booth kids' father is former NBAer Calvin Booth) so it would also seem possible he sticks with them if he likes the new coach well enough.

    All Things NCAA Tournament Games

Tangential to the point above, and contra what I said about Dread and Lundy sticking around in one place, Michael Henn is a guy I find very interesting. That dude started college ball in 2016-17 (that is, Eric Curry's freshman year) and has used 5 years of eligibility in 5 different places -...

    All Things NCAA Tournament Games

I'd like to also recognize that although they've gotten most of their significant contributors from the portal, they do have a couple rotation guys who've been there forever - I think Dread has been there 5 years and Lundy for 4. Happy for those guys to have stuck it out at one place that long...

    Henley in portal

Plus Betts, and TT (for the moment) as mentioned. My own tracking of the roster looks like this: Battle (presumably out) Cooper (presumably out) *Ramberg Thompson (hypothesized to be out) Fox Garcia Ihnen Ola-Joseph Payne Carrington Henley (out) Betts Christie Evans (out) So that would be 4...

Don't think that's right. CB Ref has them at 76.8% - which is still very good, 24th in D1. Villanova is #1 at 82.7%.

Dennis Evans - Is it time to recommit?

The Fuller article from before the game yesterday ("Johnson moves on without panic") states Johnson has in fact granted the release.
