SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

To me that has already happened. Northern Illinois beating Notre Dame didn't mean nearly as much last year as it would have in the past. Frankly, any upset of a "blue blood" is now going to be treated as a mulligan in this new system. I'm not concerned at all about removing traditional things...

    B1G FanDuel win totals

Take the under on Indiana! Usually when a team comes out of nowhere and surprises, they are rated higher than should be for next year. @iowa, @Oregon, @Penn State should be losses; they would have to win every other game in order for the OVER to pay out.

Nebraska and Tennessee Cancel Upcoming Games

    Maybe I'm missing something, but @MaxyJR1 got his number by saying one extra home game is worth $8 million and then he subtracted the 3 payouts to arrive at $8M - $1M - $1M - $1M = $5 million. If it's only $7 million per home game, wouldn't the math be $7M - $1M - $1M - $1M = $4 million ahead...

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

Maybe people need to think what the old NFL used to be like. They had a wild card because there were only 3 divisions and they needed 4 playoff teams from each conference. Once they went to 4 divisions per conference, the wild card could have gone away. Instead they kept it (and added more)...

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

I think this is the answer I was looking for. You can't be punished for losing, but can get some cred for winning?

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

Not sure what you're asking specifically, but I'll offer some comments. If I missed the idea you were looking for, lemme know. I'd say we went to the bowl game we deserved. We played a good SEC team, not the best one, and were challenged accordingly. Are you wondering if I think we should...

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

I think those days are passed. In the old days it was win the conference then win the best bowl game you get invited to. Now it's black and white: either your in the CFP or you're not. If you are in, who cares if you lost the CC game. If you're not in, who cares that you won it? Maybe a...

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

Exactly. Look at TCU a few years ago. Going off of where they finished in the Big 12 was silly. All you had to do was look and see they were in tons of dogfights with teams that weren't really good. Yet because they squeaked out close victories week after week, some people actually thought...

    Gotta admit, that was funny!!!

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

To see which B1G and SEC teams are the ones that particular year. As to your NFL comparison, the talent is a lot more spread out in the NFL. You might get some nuances here and there, like the NFC North this year having 3 strong teams and the AFC South had 3 weaklings, but by and large the...

    Fickell... Extended???

Yeah, I mean last year WI got that Mabrey guy at QB, 4* and everything and he left after his redshirt freshman season. Also, and I'm not gonna look it up for this particular class, but WI used to always bring in 2 or 3 highly rated offensive tackles. Now, if you're doing that every class, some...

    Fickell... Extended???

It's called a "sconnie sunburn" - you use beer when you forget your sunscreen and this is what happens.

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

If you're not in a major P2 conference then you should have to go undefeated to make the CFP. Top 10 from the SEC and B1G and then the 2 highest ranked unbeatens from the rest of the pack. If there are not 2 unbeatens outside of the B1G and SEC then the next highest ranked teams from the SEC...

RB Ky Thomas transferred from MN to Kansas to Kent State to Washburn.

You've never heard of liberal arts majors? He'd be getting an early start to his working career. Hey, maybe his family has money and he doesn't need to care and can afford to goof off.

RB Ky Thomas transferred from MN to Kansas to Kent State to Washburn.

I suppose. Maybe a year from now when he's taking orders at McDonald's someone can ask him how much fun he had playing in front of ten or twenty fans his final year lol.

RB Ky Thomas transferred from MN to Kansas to Kent State to Washburn.

I mean, this statement sounds good in a vacuum. But if you're in your mid twenties, this is getting pretty close to putting off getting a job to go full-time on the bar softball team.

STrib: Four seniors share how recruiting changes have affected their college football plans

I agree with both of you. The only 2 recruits I care about are Kollock and Karmo.

RB Ky Thomas transferred from MN to Kansas to Kent State to Washburn.

Yeah, he could have got plenty of action and probably been able to at least sign a practice squad contract. Mo signed one, and while he was far from Mo the runner, I think Ky would have been an option for catching passes, which would have helped.

RB Ky Thomas transferred from MN to Kansas to Kent State to Washburn.

I suppose it would depend upon the degree, but I'd be a lot more careful in the interview process if someone earned a degree with a potpourri of classes from 4 different schools. Usually the classes are structured so one naturally leads to the next, etc. Yeah, a solid depth piece for RB at the...
