I'm not pulling for Tubby to be canonized...

but it's good to see people notice he does things the right way. From Gary Parish "Final thought: Far as November games go, Minnesota had a big one Sunday. The Gophers met Texas A&M in the third-place game of the 76 Classic. It was on national television, the outcome could affect how they're...

    Very few easy buckets tonight

When we don't turn teams over and have to score half court we can struggle. this is not new information, but it was hammered home again tonight. It's an easy game when you can hit shots and get easy run outs...and then there are nights like tonight. I have not seen a box score but rebounding...

    Road trip to the Palestra?

Sid today mentions a possible home and home vs St Josephs. That would be a must road game for me. That is a venue that I would love to see the Gophs play in. Philly is a great city to visit for a long weekend and an early December east coast trip would be great. Let's get that done Mr Esposito.

    The three point shot...

has got to be a subject high on the list for the squad...making them and defending them. This team never had many opportunities to play "over their head" with the way they shoot 3s. At Wisconsin we willed a couple in. Nine out of nine against PSU proved to be fools gold. Good teams shoot dagger...

    No apologies, no asteriks...

a win is a win. A road win is what we had to have and we got it. Don't get me wrong, this was an UGLY game, monumentally ugly perhaps...but a beautiful win.

    Two quick observations...

as we head into conference play. 1. Tubby is going to go start with Iverson and Sampson playing together as we head into the B10. They are playing better as a tandem now than there first outing and both have been pretty good about staying away from cheap fouls. It's more than an experiment...

Busch reminds me of a former Tennessee...

player Dane Bradshaw , he graduated in '07. He was a 6-4 white guy who often times guarded bigger players (they played 3 guards) and did a little bit of everything. I'm looking at his 06 numbers and he averaged 7.1 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 3.9 apg. I don't think TB will quite stuff the stat sheet like...

Al played like a stud today...

at both ends of the floor. He is turning into a star right before our eyes. DJ was disruptive and opportunistic as always. Hoff stretched the D and Iverson more than held his own against Samuels. Oh, and maybe we have heard the last bitching about how many minutes Busch should be playing. Great...
