I'd take any one of them. I also don't think the next coach needs HOF potential to elevate our program to respectability. This program has lacked consistency for the past 20 years. Just hire ANY coach that is going to come in with a plan, build relationships with our HS coaches and AAU...

I could not agree more. We need someone that is going to have a plan, establish an identity as to how we are going to play then recruit kids that fit the style. I don't see any reason why we should not have a top 25 team every year starting with the talent that we have here.

I agree with this. I don't see him taking a non P5 job, however he could be a top assistant at a lot of places. I don't want to see him on his old man's bench (I'm an Iona alum)

He hasn't just been bad at shooting 3's. He has turned the ball over way too much and he cannot do anything offensively. I do agree that he does have skill on the defensive end but I think we need more right now then that. I guess the next few games will be telling.

Good point. Gabe is the type of player that would be best suited if he had a strong supporting cast around him from an offensive stand point. So he would be good if he would only need to focus on D and boards.

How about Ed Cooley? Or is there any other Big East coaches that are on the radar? He is an east coast guy but he has been successful at Fairfield and Providence

I think either Smith or Medved would be solid, I do agree that it will be nice to see Niko make the tourney. In terms of the two I'd give the edge to Niko. There is no doubt in my mind that If Niko brought over Thorson that we would get MN kids.

I just mean that I don't think it matters because we cannot get any lower at this point. I'd prefer any coach that has had to work to get to where they are at.

I understand your take on this and it does make sense. What is a bit harsh is your comment on saying that the lives of people in nursing homes are not worth this. Do you have any loved ones that are in nursing homes that are suffering because of this? Seems like a heartless comment for you...
