My understanding is that it is going to come from the guaranteed payout from tv contracts etc.. Currently 100% of that money goes to the athletic department to pay for all sports. If 20-25% of that money in the future is going directly to athletes the athletic department is going to have a huge...
Do you think the administration has even started to consider revenue sharing. My guess is that it is going to be an implementation disaster. Lots of hard decisions would have to be made. Massive cuts/elimination of non revenue sports. Not much confidence in them getting it right.
This is my problem with not getting Edmunds as much time as possible early in the season so he would be better prepared. Now when you need him because of matchups he just isn't ready.
Not sure how this is calculated but it sounds like this is the estimated payout of the proposed revenue sharing plan if it becomes a reality.
If it becomes reality like you stated how it is disbursed is critical.
That is only part of the story, facilitating the offense, getting the team going is probably more important, I hate the way Patterson runs the offense, Asuma is a natural.
I don't get that at all. Patterson has had some nice games but he is not a point guard. Mitchell and Asuma are the only ones that should be Hàndling the ball.
I agree, in certain situations Edmonds is just going to be more productive than Fox or Mitchell. He's bigger and is athletic, defensively he will be a much better rim protector.
Should have picked them up full court and waist some time getting the ball up the court, hopefully this would have forced them into a hurried shot even if you don't foul.
I don't remember him making any big mistakes last night, letting his man break free and getting open layups, played as well as anyone. The guy he was guarding made one pull up jumper across the middle.
Betts goes 2/3 and 5 points in six minutes in the first half and then doesn't see the floor again. You develop depth, just not going to happen. He's coaching to save his job now, the results can be predicted, might as well be gone.
Pretty sure the payment agreements are determine by the collective and spread throughout the Academic year. Would be pretty rare to get anything before they are enrolled and attending classes but it could happen for some of the highly sought recruits that command big bucks. Wasn't there...
He's not slow, he can shoot the ball and spread the defense, he fills the needs of some of the things this team is missing. I don't understand why he is not playing with what I have seen so far.
It will be interesting how the ball handling happens going forward. It is pretty obvious that running the offense is not one of Odukele's strength's. He plays decent defense and contributes in other ways, you just have to keep the the ball out of his hands. If Johnson is so inflexible that he...
He's a piece, they need scorers, when combined with Rigsby, Mike Mitchel, and an improving Asuma an additional scorer to go with Garcia will help. You can have an Odukele, big Mitchell, or Patterson on the court just not all at the same time.
And only two are a viable offensive threat. I've been a Johnson backer but I think its time for a change, sooner rather than later and finish with an interim coach this season.
Spot on, you would have thought CBJ would have learned with Cooper what slow methodical PG's do for or to an offense. Asuma looks lost out there but who could play with Patterson or Femi handling the ball.
I didn't see the first half but the 37 points they scored in the second half was a good outing. They needed to shore up there defense in spots in the second half and they wood have won. Not doom and gloom yet. More consistency as would getting some of the injured guys back will help.
They need...
