Could Ohio State football’s opener at Minnesota resemble the 2018 rout of Oregon State?

I just knew he'd use the Florida Atlantic comparison

Nick Saban says Bama QB Bryce Young has already gotten close to 7 figures in NIL deals

Will the coaches help the players get deals, will that be allowed? If so, I'm thinking PJ might be a hell of a spokesperson on my behalf.

100-Year Old Swain a Gopher Treasure

Joe to Tom: "I'm hiring Tim Brewster". Tom to Joe: "This is not going to end well".

Official 2022 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Rumors

I enjoy the back and forth on these threads. The use of stars and rankings to grade players has proven to be somewhat predictive, not perfect but a guide. In that respect I'd have to side with those who think this is less than a stellar class. BUT there is something else to consider: From...

Gophers aggressively pursuing former 5 star DB from OsU

I think he wanted to start right away.

Examining early betting over/unders for the Big Ten in 2021 (Minnesota: 7)

Until we see how the fall camp goes a 7 - 5 projection seems about right. Defense and special teams and the wide receiver position (depth) are all open questions.

I thought they hired this coach cause he could recruit? So where are the players?

The premise of the thread is incorrect. BJ was hired because he's from the state, played basketball at the University, and is a really decent human being. Pitino missed on two of those attributes. No one, I mean no one with authority is going to challenge Coyle on this hire. Bitch all you...

NFL Draft-Will Bateman & St. Juste end the streak?

With the front seven that Washington has St-Juste is going to get a chance to make plays. It's going to be fun watching him continue his journey.

    Spring Practice: Speculation, Observation, Rumination

Well, there you go, two years ago I had him as an all big ten wide receiver, I'll need to make a reassessment.

NFL Draft-Will Bateman & St. Juste end the streak?

I'm very happy for Rashod and I think Baltimore got a wonderful receiver.

UT to require Longhorn Band to play the ‘Eyes of Texas’ but will create new band for those who oppose song

Free, white, and 21. Is that phrase still used? It was when I was a man of 21, not all that long ago. Is the phrase racist? No. Does it imply superiority? Yes. So it is racism even though the words (like the song) aren't overtly racist. Subtle racism is the most insidious IMHO.

Johnston: Has anyone heard from PJ Fleck? That guy never shuts up, yet I don’t recall the last time I heard a Fleckism

It's not easy deciding whether to feed your girlfriend hay or corn kernels. Let's cut the guy some slack.

Fleck said the Gophers have developed a program to address racism and he wants to be “the most empathetic head coach in America.”

As I recall SON, you're a recovering alcoholic, right? If not, stop reading and I apologize. So part of the program is to state publicly that you're an alcoholic. Why is that? You know the answer SON. So when your friend who has gone on a diet and falls at his (or her) diet, who knows? Who...

As the brand improves so will the level of retention. Should Fleck and Johnson have sustained success local athletes will see the U has a great destination. Even with that, some will get away.

Jacob Schuster, incoming d-line recruit from Washington

Never give up is attributed to Winston Churchill who used the slogan to rally the British people during World War II. In fact, he is credited with giving a speech at a boy's school that went something like this: "Never give up. Never, never, never, never, never give up" and then he sat down.
