    Ky Thomas?

I was just naming Thomas as an example of someone who left. I'm curious about an actual exit interview with those who choose to leave and those who choose not to come to UM. And not by the coaches, but by a trained, professional interviewer who can elicit the reasons for the player's decision...

    Ky Thomas?

I always wonder -- when players leave the Gophers for other schools (e.g. Ky Thomas) do we conduct an exit interview to learn their reasons? I'm guessing some are urged to leave but others must leave for greener pastures or because there's something about their Gopher experience that they don't...

P.J. Fleck heard Gophers fans’ boos Saturday and wanted to respond

Since coaches use or lose their first half TOs, they take them. I support a rule change to allow five TOs per game rather than three per half. Of course TV wouldn't support this.

Darius Taylor: THE STANDARD‼️‼️THERE IS NO DROP OFF IN THE ROOM🤷🏽‍♂️ #RTB

I'd like to see a play developed that would have a high percentage of success when needing one yard. I hate to see punts on 4th and one. Possession is the most important asset in football.

Darius Taylor: THE STANDARD‼️‼️THERE IS NO DROP OFF IN THE ROOM🤷🏽‍♂️ #RTB

Well told. The rush-focused offense considers the climate the Gophers play in and the type and level of players UM is able to attract. We haven't had it so good since the Murray Warmath days.

Fleck Post Game - Wow Was This A Shot.

Tell me about the recent use of "room" to describe football positions. Is it literally true that each group has a room in the training facility? I'm an old-timer and am curious about new terms popping up in sports lingo. Respectfully.

POST GAME THREAD: Gophers Get Convincing Win Over MSU

And the only one with NFL, MLB, NBA, major college hockey, WNBA, NHL to dilute the sports fans' spending money.

POST GAME THREAD: Gophers Get Convincing Win Over MSU

I'd say buy the O-line some ice cream. And the same for the D line.

    Cody Lindenberg

Players who are interested in the education need not be required to attend. I agree that all the talent will agglomerate in a few schools -- even more than has already happened. We're seeing a large and rapid change to college football. This is why I increasingly follow D2 and D3 football...

    Cody Lindenberg

Given that major college football has now become de jure professional ball with NIL, why are there any eligibility restrictions? The NCAA should allow players to stay with their teams as long as they want to and the teams want them. And what's the point of academic requirements. If you think...

STrib: Running back injuries leave Gophers shuffling ahead of Michigan State

This topic made me think of LeCaptain. I know the staff wants him as a LB, but I remember his one outing in the backfield and I thought of him. I see he's out for the season, but haven't been able to see what the injury is. Anyone know?

    Big Ten Mess....I mean West

It's not what plays you run -- it's how well you execute the plays you run. On defense it's how well you pay attention.

Is this already a succesful season?

Successful to this point? No. The complete collapse in Q4+ at UNW is a disqualifier. You can't lose to the bottom team in the conference and claim success. Now, should the Gophers win three of he next five, I'd call the season a success.

Chip: Fair catch or no fair catch? Regardless, football gods smiled on Gophers

That was one of, what, four penalties on the Gophers on that drive? Looked to me like Nubin swatted it pretty decisively. If the rules forbid it, it doesn't matter how many times it's not called, they can call it any time the rule is violated. The play was dead, nothing the ball carrier could...

Chip: Fair catch or no fair catch? Regardless, football gods smiled on Gophers

Ex Except in baseball where an 0-2 pitch down the middle is ball one. And a 3-0 pitch that the catcher has to dive for is strike one.
