It really depends on what you consider their collective. There's 2 arms to the Iowa Swarm. The collective side (personal donations) and the Inc side (corporate deals with athletes). He didn't get a dime from the collective side. I imagine he had a deal or 2 lined up with some private businesses...

Many programs are moving toward the open spring practice/scrimmage hybrid instead of having a game. Illinois, Wisconsin, & Iowa all being examples of this.

I would guess he'll have a practice that's open to the public. Just probably doing away with the "game" part of it.

I thought the middle 1/3 of the movie was fantastic. The portion which the Manhattan Project was being put together and the work done. The first and last 30-40 minutes of the film were just kinda ok. I thought they missed out on a golden opportunity to have a memorable "Day After" type scene...

Smith-Marsette made the right choice. He was 4-0 as a player against Minnesota. And 2 of those games weren't particularly close.

Iowa had 2 LBs and 3 DBs decide to come back for their extra year which has them currently 4/5 over the scholarship limit so I wouldn't expect many incoming transfers there. They will need guys to transfer out to get under the limit by summer.

Wisconsin and Iowa and especially Nebraska as well also have very large and supportive fan bases made up of people who never went to or have an affiliation with the university. That is a huge factor in a program's potential and it appears that is a big factor in these tier rankings.

This is the best way to look at it. Basically you have to be in the top 3 in the B1G. Top 4 is possible if that team has a really good non conference win the gets the attention of the CFP committee.

If the exact opposite happened Iowa fans and coaches would be praising the officials for getting the call right and Minnesota fans and coaches would be talking about how they got screwed.

Just to be clear he's not bitching about the refs. He's actually very complementary of B1G officials which makes me question his judgement. He's bitching about the replay officials and the lack of clarity from the conference. He's also really hunting for a fine right now.

I would agree with this. I believe Wisconsin, NW, and Iowa State are the only teams they've played that currently have a winning record besides PSU. To their credit they only have 1 bad loss and when you avoid those you can stack a lot of wins. The Gophers would be 8-3 right now and going for...
