It seems that most view McCollum as a better prospect than Medved. In my opinion either would be a good hire. Medved has more D1 experience while McCollum has D2 championships. I like Medveds style of play better but maybe McCollum adjusts his to fit his talent?

I'm not sure why Mack isn't getting more play for any of these open jobs. I think he'd be an excellent choice.

The last 2 hires would suggest that Minnesota IS an entry level job.

Some here aren't that excited by Medved but I think he'd be a solid hire. Not a huge flashy name but similar to Dawn P a coach that has built programs at various levels. If he is given the proper level of support I think he'd do well here.

I give him credit for hiring PJ but he's also really whiffed on Whalen and Ben. He is also awful as a communicator.

If Coyle is going to bring Ben back he could just as well give him the Bill Self lifetime contract because apparently there is no level of suck that will lead to a coaching change.

So now that this inspiring performance is over, when is the announcement coming that Ben will be back with an extension?

I'm not going to pretend that the playing field is completely level but a couple years ago you had Ben, Juwan Howard, Shrewsbury, and Woodson in a 14 team league. Coaches get hired and they get fired, it's part of the business.

It sounds like Arizona State is not planning to fire Bobby Hurley but also won't extend him. He would be coaching on the last year of his contract next season. I wonder if we will see more of this as schools will attempt to avoid paying a buyout. Hopefully this isn't what Coyle is planning.
