    COYLE FIRES BEN JOHNSON!!!!!!

Is anyone concerned with the early morning timing of the announcement that Coyle may have actually gotten drunk, went to Whiteys for some sliders, then drunk dialed Ben and ended up firing him, but that when he wakes up this morning he’ll be all full of regret because he didn’t really mean to...

Does anyone have Mark Coyle’s email?

I wish I didn't see this. Now I'm going to constantly be tempted to rage email him. Like Lionel Hutz, I need David Crosby as my sponsor, to talk me down and just let me know he loves me.

It's "Here's Johnny" by Ed McMahon (the judges will also accept a deranged Jack Nicholson).

    4 More Years 🙏🙏🙏🤠🤠💪💪💪

I'm willing to take one for the team so I can become our NIL sugar daddy. My wife will probably understand.

    Fire Ben Johnson

True, plus it’s Gopher hockey so the expectation is always that they’ll compete for national titles. And while he came within a whisker of winning one, overall Motzko has been pretty uneven.

    Fire Ben Johnson

PJ is Coyle’s best hire, and it’s not even close. But let’s be honest, while PJ has done a nice job steadying the program and giving it an identity, he hasn’t exactly elevated it into the elite levels of college football where Coyle can use hiring Fleck as a Teflon shield to keep his job.

Ben, some advice: if Coyle wants to meet with you, take the stairs, not the elevator.

ESPN's Jeff Borzello: "As of time of publish, it seems Ben Johnson is likely to get another year at Minnesota."

I'd like to think that the last thing that went through his head, other than that bullet, was to wonder how the hell Ben Johnson ever got a Big Ten job.

What grade would you give the Gophers 2024-2025 basketball season?

D for "Damn, they sucked" (I actually gave them an F)

Johnson needs to get the Lane Kiffin treatment and get axed on the tarmac in Indy.

Who the hell wants a do-nothing ditherer with literally zero accomplishments at his current stop and a cost of a million and a half a year? The university president who pulls that trigger should then turn the gun on themselves.

Mark Coyle makes $1.4 goddamn million per year. It's about time he earns it by showing some balls and firing the worst coach in the history of University of Minnesota athletics, and I want it done, in the words of Warden Norton of Shawshank Prison:

And for 4 years this program has been the equivalent of off-brand spam, only inedible.

It’s time to acknowledge we have an athletic department and administration with a Dollar Store approach. It’s a shitty proposition where everything’s cheap and nothing has any importance. It’s been that exact way during my nearly 40 years of being a fan of Gopher sports.

Pitino also got 5 years under Coyle, so I can’t see him having the balls to invite the troubles with certain local constituencies that would come with not giving Johnson the same number of years as those two.
