To summarize: A mediocre assistant who has been a part of multiple teams getting worse during his tenure. A lazy recruiter who has zero track record. Over proven head coaches who wanted the job. To save money and appease the affirmative action crowd.

Yes one of the top NBA assistants who was a shoe in for an NBA HC job in the next few years + a known NBA legend is very similar to an assistant coach with zero name recognition, zero pedigree, and a key part of a program that has been going down hill since he arrived (Xavier).

This logic is insane. We sucked so who cares that we make a sucky hire? There were proven head coaches who are on a ton of P5 team radars who wanted the job and we hired someone who wouldn't even have gotten a mid major HC job.

I hate to break it to you but there is a 0% chance that anything changes with the AAU programs and where they send their kids. Johnson has never been able to land MN kids and most teams he has been associated with have gotten worse.
