    Conference Realignment Updates

This would be pretty dang close to my dream scenario. We play the teams I really care about playing every year - Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska. Every six years I will get to see home games against the rest of those teams? As a season ticket holder, sign me up! People can say whatever they want...

    Conference Realignment Updates

I would be curious and I am not smart enough to figure it out on my own. The original post with the division/schedule pools said that every team would basically have a home and home with each team outside of their pool every six years. I don't feel like we play Michigan that many times right...

    Conference Realignment Updates

I don't disagree with you on the same number of conference games but I think that problem might work itself out. I think it is going to get to the point where the Big Ten and SEC are just going to get x-amount of playoff teams and the Big Ten and SEC will determine how they will select those...

    2025 high school football thread

Other factors can be waived for qualifying for Educational Benefits like Class Dues and Field Trips. Also, schools can receive more funding if certain percentages qualify. Like most things though, the government took a system that wasn't broken and broke it, but that is a discussion for another...

    2025 high school football thread

This means absolutely nothing but something you can take note of. 2021 playing 5A they went 9-2 and beat Owatonna 58-31 and 38-33. They also beat JM 53-6 2022 playing 5A they went 9-2 again and beat Owatonna 34-27 and 36-7 and beat JM 52-0 2023 playing 6A they went 4-6 2024 playing 6A they...

    2025 high school football thread

Yeah, it would be interesting. 3 of the 4 teams I thought of that are 'smaller' 6A schools are the Lakeville's and East Ridge. Lakeville obviously has North and South and East Ridge is part of South Washington ISD with Woodbury & Park. I believe Lakeville has two separate youth programs through...

    2025 high school football thread

Lakeville North and South are a couple of the better programs in 6A - South won the Prep Bowl in 2021 and was named 2020 Covid State Champions, North won the Prep Bowl in 2018. I would guess in most years either of those programs would win 5A. Both programs can compete with any of the schools...

What do you consider the bottom half of 6A? Enrollment? If that is the case you'll have teams like Lakeville North, Lakeville South, Farmington, and East Ridge playing 5A schools...

    B1G FanDuel win totals

If they weren't our rival, I would really feel bad for Wisconsin. Instead, I will just smile and laugh. Miami OH - Win Middle Tennessee - Win At Alabama- Loss Maryland- Win At Michigan Loss Iowa - I would guess Loss Ohio State - Loss At Oregon - Loss Washington - I would guess win? At Indiana -...

Rank the Head Coaches Since Warmath

You forgot Kill. I like your list... I would put Kill second I think. In my lifetime and following Gopher Football back to the early 90s... 1) Fleck 2) Kill 3) Mason 4) Brewster 5) Wacker Mason & Kill are interchangeable. Both walked into hard positions and made the program respectable.

Former Gopher Kim Royston named HC at Cretin

I never thought of that but you are spot on.

Former Gopher Kim Royston named HC at Cretin

I am so intrigued by this decision. Does anyone know why he decided not to go to CDH? Who was interested in the Lakeville South position? My limited sources in Lakeville say that he has been looking at moving into administration for a while and CDH was the best position to do both - admin and...

He's talented. Safe to say Carson and Hanna are living a different college experience than I lived.

SEC, Big Ten to push for seeding changes to 2025 College Football Playoff

Unless they move the playoff start date up closer to the end of the regular season I don't know if there is a distinct advantage to having a bye. It is hard to play a football game with nearly a month break.

    Fickell... Extended???

If you are right, which I have no reason to doubt you, the actual extension is the opposite of committing to Fickell. Publicly, fans will say "why would they do that?" In truth, the extension may make it easier to fire him after the season.

Reusse: Unlike the Gophers’ coaching situation, the solution for Williams Arena is simple: Blow up The Barn

I see what you are saying. My pipe dream is that Lore/A Rod bring in the Wilf's and they work out a deal to build an arena down in Eagan around the Vikings facility. I know it is a long shot, but...

Reusse: Unlike the Gophers’ coaching situation, the solution for Williams Arena is simple: Blow up The Barn

True, multi-use would be a positive, but the culture of Austin, Texas is different than Minneapolis. Not in a good way or bad way. They have a strong music culture - South x Southwest, 6th Street is a poor man's Broadway, Rainey Street District, etc. Austin now hosts the Country Music Awards at...

Reusse: Unlike the Gophers’ coaching situation, the solution for Williams Arena is simple: Blow up The Barn

I was at the Moody Center this winter for a game. It was a fine place to watch basketball but don't be confused... it isn't a basketball arena. It was funded by mostly by Live Nation in exchange for keeping the income from non-UT events like concerts, rodeos, etc for the next 35 years. The...
