G’damn, Reardon sure made it around to a few stops in MLB.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Thanks for posting this golf, one of my favorite things to do is peruse this list for noteworthy names. Although I don’t see All Wight listed, he’s got a spot on my all name list, along with: Mister Dean (#48, SG) Zarique Nutter (#69, SF)-you can’t convince me he was #70 on the list, but someone...

    Richard Pitino to Villanova?

And I hear it’s always sunny there, so they got that going for them.

    Stanford Fires Troy Taylor

I’m surprised it took this long to fire him, seems Stanford was willing to keep rolling along with this mediocrity before ESPN brought the story to brighter light: https://www.espn.in/college-football/story/_/id/44319805/stanford-football-coach-accused-reports-bullying-belittling-female-staffers

CSU Students React to Medved's Departure (CBS Colorado)

"It hurts because Niko is such a good head coach," Walsh said. "Three out of the last four NCAA tournaments, we were on such an upward slope. This feels like it sets us back just a little bit." Math people, is there such a thing as an upward slope? 🤔

All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

A really nice article from Jon K. expanding on Ingles’ start in front of Jacob and the family last night. A wonderful, humane decision on Finch’s part: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6222598/2025/03/22/joe-ingles-son-autism-timberwolves/?source=user_shared_article

All Things Immaculate Grid-related (MLB, NBA, NFL)

Nice work Ope, I messed up on putting a player in the wrong square, but even without that issue, I wouldn't have gotten my score under 20. I also used Willie H and Ben O on my grid and shared Banks and Hall for the Twins, with another backup catcher (Salas) for the final square. Btw, have...

    Favorite John Feinstein Book

Let Me Tell You A Story about Red Auerbach was written long past Feinstein's celebrity was established and he was being criticized for being a book factory, but it was one of the most enjoyable sports reads I've ever had. Well worth it for basketball fans.

    Your favourite movies please!

I've never seen Adventureland--I think I have it mixed up in my head with the Eisenberg movie where he's fighting zombies and I wasn't interested in that. I'll need to give it a shot. I'll echo WAG in stating that it's going to be a pretty high bar to clear TWWB, mainly because of Rockwell's...

    Your favourite movies please!

Whew, I think this might have been grueling to cut down than my Top 10 list. I have a heavy lean towards the beginning of the quarter century with my selections, but here goes: Top 5 (no particular order here, other than alphabetically) 1. Almost Famous 2. City of God 3. Eternal Sunshine of the...

Wow - Marcus: Johnson is arguably at a point in his tenure when he might also need for people to be patient with him.

In recent weeks, there's been commentary offered up by the local sports media that has been a drumbeat of support for Ben Johnson, a Souhan column that the T-Wolves are going to miss Glen Taylor(!), and I'm sure I've missed it, but there's gotta be a column out there telling Twins fans they'll...

Dan Hurley - love him or hate him?

Adrian Wojnarowski wrote a great book The Miracle of St. Anthony many years ago about their dad and my recollection (it's hazy) was that he was very intense, but not antagonistic like his boys. And of course, a HS legend probably has the refs swallowing their whistles a bit more on his behalf...

Barry Alvarez whines about Fickell and offers no solutions

Never have I seen a GH poster that brings less to the table than you, which is an incredible achievement given some of the wastrel that has populated the boards over the 20+ years I've been around. Congrats on being the first poster that I move to the block list.
