    Cedric Tomes commits!!!

Fresh Coast Hoops is just an awesome resource. Thanks for posting. This is my first time watching him play. I like that he is aggressive. I don't love his offense (dribbles around until he shoots or gets stopped and then kicks it out). That said, he looks pretty skilled.

Massive boys basketball tournament brings top recruits, social media stars to Twin Cities

I want to rip on the security guard for not having any pep in his step, but the guy probably just picked up a weekend gig to make a few bucks.

Draymond Green: The agenda to continue to keep making me look like an angry black man is crazy.

It would be an incredibly easy agenda spoil if you didn't elbow people in the head and scream hysterically on the court to a point where teammates had to pull you back. I just wonder why the NBA took a guy who just happened to poke Lebron in the eye, kick Stephen Adams in the balls twice...

Who would be your 21st century gopher team?

Yeah, he is precisely the kind of player who that would have made a lot of sense. Heck, I wouldn't be shocked if they are allowed to return to college now. I don't think there are many rules on eligibility that would hold up to judicial scrutiny, I'm not sure a rule against professionals...

Who would be your 21st century gopher team?

That's fair too. In my head, Pryz was more of a force on defense but I might be conflating his time in the NBA with the realities of his time here. He also blocked my shot in HS. Daniel Oturu has never blocked my shot.

Which Gophers did you miss on badly - you thought XYZ Gopher would be much better or much worse?

Royce was so good at basketball. The impact he could have had on the program, at that time (with all of the local talent in the pipeline) is depressing to think about.

Gophers football and men’s basketball among programs shining academically in latest APR report

Does anyone know how the APR is calculated for graduates, especially grad transfers?

Who would be your 21st century gopher team?

Yeah, I went back and forth on including Pryz or not for this reason. I should have probably left him off.

Who would be your 21st century gopher team?

Yeah, it probably comes down to Mbakwe or Murphy starting at the 4. You are probably right that the nod should go to Murphy. They are really close statistically (averages below) and Jordan played almost twice as many games as Mbakwe. Trevor: 12 PTS / 9.5 REB / 1.1 ASTS / 1.5 BLKS / .8 STLS on...

Leveraging the GHX Model to Optimize NIL Deals

All jokes aside, this isn't the way to do it. AI tools, especially chatGPT, do not make your communication style or palatable. It's almost like the uncanny valley where super realistic dolls are actually creepier than less-realistic dolls. I think your points would make more sense and be...

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide in NFL Draft Cost Him $44 Million

The NFL and the NFLPA collectively bargained for a system to dispense the talent in the way they see fit. The system he proposes either circumvents that mutually agreed upon contract or disallows those parties to contract in that way. If the parties agreed to have another system - ie open free...

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

It's 100% because he is Herro's brother. It's not a bad signing by St. Thomas but it's inline with what you'd expect other than his last name being Herro.

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

I've said this countless times, it's been the same standard for 135 years - reasonableness. Long before you littered this board with your wall of nonsense, I've been saying that none of the NCAA's rules would be upheld under the Sherman Act. None of them. I discussed how it's a real...

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

Lawyers don’t make law, legislatures do abd judges interpret the law. None of your paragraphs make sense individually or collectively.

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

Yeah. I am all for equality for women, but it’s been insane on college campuses for years. I agree with your premise. I don’t know how it would mechanically work for institutions that take so much federal money. I think it would require something like each sports team being officially...

Not reallly to me. But I can be persuaded. . .

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

Yeah, I’m totally cool with pay for play, but I think the system needs to be treated like any other commercial enterprise.

    Trump wants to change/limit NIL.

The Separation of Powers were pissed on about a decade ago and we haven't had any form of limited government in 50 years (just different kinds of massive governments). In the last 5 months, we've seen how the ruling class and its sheep react to any trimming of that massive government. As much as...
