***OFFICIAL UTSA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Things I want to see (in no particular order): Cam Christie on the floor Payne playing 25+ productive minutes The opponent held under 60 points KenPom ranking improves after the game Play winning basketball for 9/10 of the 4-minute TV timeout stretches Regarding the last bullet, I'd guess we...

***OFFICIAL BETHUNE-COOKMAN SEASON OPENING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Just watch with your eyeballs. Any objective basketball fan sees more depth, athleticism, and experience. There's no need to cherry-pick games from last year to compare to. And if you are, why not point out that W. Michigan was also +300 net (similar to Bethune), and we won by 1 point? Lol. I...

***OFFICIAL BETHUNE-COOKMAN SEASON OPENING IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Lol, winning each game by 20+ is struggling? There were frustrating moments in both games (Macalester defensively and BCU offensively), but neither game was ever in question. The floor and ceiling of this team are much higher this year than the previous two, and it's not even debatable...

Lower level tickets available to the season opener for $3

It's a little disingenuous as the fees will likely be at least 5x the cost. But it is still absurdly cheap. I will be treating the wife to damn near courtside seats for under $25 all-in. If she plays her cards right, she may earn an encore for the UTSA Roadrunners on Friday. She is not a...

I’d prefer them to clinch bowl eligibility against Iowa.

***OFFICIAL MACALASTER AT MINNESOTA EXHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I don't think he's a conventional #2, but I think with the right matchup, he could help defend certain perimeter players.

***OFFICIAL MACALASTER AT MINNESOTA EXHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Ihnen was the only player to stick it out through the coaching change, has gutted out a two-year rehab, and this is the conclusion you draw from 12 minutes of basketball in his first game back since 2020? Get a grip.

***OFFICIAL MACALASTER AT MINNESOTA EXHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

You nailed it. I walked away with optimism. We have two very capable PGs who push the ball. It was enjoyable watching Hawkins and Mitchell out on the court together. It felt like an entirely different system from what we watched the last two years. The offense was fast and crisp, with few...

***OFFICIAL MACALASTER AT MINNESOTA EXHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

When I had mono in college, that took me entirely out of commission for a month, and I lost about 25 pounds. It sounds like he's had it for a while, so he should be on the upswing soon.

***OFFICIAL MACALASTER AT MINNESOTA EXHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The shots he was making were borderline absurd. People around me were just laughing. Props to him; he put on a show! So many of the shots, you literally could not play better defense without fouling. I've never seen anything like it.

Dennis Evans - Is it time to recommit?

As underwhelming as the CBJ has been, to his credit, he has taken care of business against inferior opponents. The wins haven't always been pretty (quite frankly, most have been ugly), but they tend to escape with the win.

    Probably, and hopefully!

    Gophers-Colorado St scrimmage

I wasn't too concerned initially. I think I assumed (bad idea, I know) it was Ben experimenting with line-ups and playing guys who won't see the floor much but trying to figure out his #7-#11 rotation guys. I mentioned in a previous post that it's damn near impossible to lose by 40 points. I...

AP: The Gophers are happy with good health and a full roster after 2 painful seasons

Tough, but fair. It's "prove it" time for this staff.

    Gophers-Colorado St scrimmage

The score of the CSU/MN scrimmage is so egregious there had to have been extenuating circumstances at play. I'd be far more concerned if it were an 18 or 22-point loss with intel that we were trying to win and played our contributors most minutes. But 38 points? Cleary essential guys weren't...

    Gophers-Colorado St scrimmage

You're not far off. I'm hearing the entire team had the flu, except Kadyn Betts. He took CSU on one v five and still scored 49 points.

    VIP Open Practice 2023

For those who saw Fox play, what position do you envision him guarding? I can't picture him guarding a Big Ten center, but maybe he's bigger and more athletic than I am giving him credit for.

Parker Fox has displayed eye-popping slam dunks in practices and might be the team’s best leaper.

Every video I see of Gopher basketball practice, they are literally playing against the air. Guys are hitting open shots, throwing down vicious dunks, and cheering emphatically with every made bucket. I want so badly for Parker to have a bounce-back year. He deserves it more than anyone...
