he’s been coaching for how long and I don’t know what’s worse:
1. That he doesn’t know the rule.
2. That he knows the rule and is lying through the teeth.
One of those two is true.
One can be both very happy that my team won Floyd AND realize that the coaches almost pissed it away as much as won it. Still a C, no matter how much you try to bully.
huh? you have been a Gopher fan for a very, very long time, right? You can’t recall any terrible ways to lose a game? I don’t feel sorry for them one bit. Their luck finally ran out. #Sorry, not sorry.
I’ve never seen a guy waving his arms around in circles above his shoulder to tell teammates to stay away from the ball. In fact, not sure I’ve ever seen anyone not wave their hands and arms low in front of them. He got caught cheating. I’m still stunned he actually got caught.
D was great (A). Special teams was good at K, punting itself was good, everything else was terrible (C). Again. Offense was mediocre at best, and PJ crawled under a shell with the game on the line (D). Again. Got lucky this time. Firm C.
Player of the game? Gotta be Kesich. Dude was amazing (yes even with a 43 yd miss into swirling wind). His kickoffs were incredible all day.
The D was crazy good in the second half as well.
he might not have been TRYING to signal fair catch, but by the rules he was. DeJean is a great, great player, but he is also sly and a bit of a deceiver/cheater. He got caught this time, even if it was merely a technical call.
the only thing I can think of is that the ref watching it saw hand waving and expected the fair catch, then saw MN not hit him when they could have.
all in all, Iowa finally got caught cheating, yet it still feels cheap.
